Approximately 245 miles (390 km) from the Reykjavik Airport to the Hotel Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon Hotel. The property sits alone on a huge piece of land with view of the mountain glaciers as well as the Norwegian Sea. The facility is spacious, clean and well attended. The hotel is gorgeous and the views of the glacier are amazing. Staff went above and beyond - even alerting us when the Northern lights appeared. The food was delicious - especially breakfast - and portions huge. The cosy indoor firepit was a great place to meet other people and share tips for our tours.

This gorgeous hotel is very secluded; it’s about an hour to the next town, but just 10 minutes from Glacier Lagoon. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tubs and sauna after a day of hiking. The view of the Northern Lights from there was absolutely spectacular. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and had something for every palate. The dinner menu was wonderful. This hotel is not just a place to spend the night - it’s an experience. There are multiple lounge areas to curl up and read a book or enjoy a drink with friends, there are two hot tubs that are just right, and a sauna with a spectacular view of the landscape. You will not be disappointed!

One of the top hotels
This is probably one of the top hotels that I have stayed at…ever. It was beautiful and the room was modern and had everything that you needed. The view was gorgeous and we saw the northern lights from the hot tub. There are robes and slippers and the breakfast was amazing. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were very kind and I wish that we could have stayed longer.

The hotel looks and smells new. Our room was comfortable, and we had an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant which has large windows to look out to the mountains. It’s convenient to explore the glaciers and beach.

Amazing Hotel with Beautiful Views. The Staff were all Super Friendly. Food in the Restuarant was also fantastic with Iceland Prices. The location to the Glaciers was excellent. One of the closer Hotels and remember, this Hotel features views of the Glacier. However, the heating system did not function so on the second night they gave us a portable heater.
