Ribnitz-Damgarten is not only a state-approved resort, but is now known everywhere as an amber town. Because here are both the German Amber Museum and the amber show manufactory. The picturesque little town is located between the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Stralsund - directly at the mouth of the Recknitz in Lake Ribnitz.
