Very disappointed

There was no elevator service the whole time we were there and we received no notice of this ahead of time. And we had to go outside to get upstairs and it did not feel safe at nighttime. They offered free breakfast as compensation but very limited selections. The sink faucet was broken. See picture. And there was food left from a previous guest in the refrigerator-see picture. The hotel has gone way downhill from our previous stays.

We've been here several times over the last few years. Generally good property and value. This time, when we checked in we were told the elevators weren't working. First available floor was the fourth. Luckily as a 67 year old man I could manage the walk up and down. Plus you had to go outside to swipe your key to get to the stairs. To add a bit to this sad tale, we did not get our room serviced that night either. To be fair the hotel did comp us breakfast for the two mornings.

Elevator was out for 2 days i was there. Stairs only way to get to room and they were accessed from outside so the stairwell remained open with access to anyone. I did not feel safe. I have always stsyed here when i come on business, but this will be my last stay here.

Hotel Reservation cancellation sucks

I arrived at 6:30 PM to find the hotel elevator was not working and had not been working and was an on going issue. The hotel booked my reservation while the elevator was was broken and did not call me so I could make other plans. It is impossible to talk to anyone at hotels.com and was hung up on three times. I’m a platinum hotels.com user and may never use this service again. I’m awaiting a refund.

Elevator was not working (and had not been for the past week). I should have been notified of this when I made my reservations. Because everyone was using the stairs, the landings and bannisters were filthy. The laundry room was out of service. My room was very tired, the bathroom sink’s grout was pulling away from the sink, the carpets were stained. Housekeeping started banging on doors at 9 am, waking those trying to sleep in. I will not stay here again. There are better options in Richmond

Great stay

We arrived during the winter storm in the middle of a long road trip. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate us for an extra night so we could avoid driving in the storm and our room was upgraded! The elevator wasn’t working, but they were so accommodating with free breakfast, free bottled water, and overall cleanliness in the hotel that it didn’t matter. There is also an abundance of places to stop in nearby…. Wawa, Publix, an adorable diner, a Goodwill and many more. Will stop here again!

Great hospitality

Great staff and hotel! Unfortunately the elevators was out of order but the staff hospitality and service made up for the inconvenience. The best hotel ive stayed outside the RVA area so far!

The elevators were not working, had not been working for days and are not likely to be working soon. The owner doesn't want to pay for elevator repairs before the elevators are to be replaced in a month or two. Outside doors to the fire stairwells were unlocked at all times. One female guest reported a strange man banging on her door at night. The staff are kind , helpful and courteous, but can't do anything. I made a formal complaint to Hilton Honors, but have no thought that Hilton corporate will make this owner fix the elevators or shut it down. I had to carry my 18 year old dog up and down two flights of stairs for the stay
