The Alpenblick and its history The Aplenblick was built in 1966 by the Krull family. The pond with fish stock, its own forest and the three springs made a self-sufficient life possible then as now.

In the southern Black Forest (Hotzenwald). Detached vacation home in a quiet
south-facing slope on the edge of the forest on a natural property (5500 square meters) at almost 1000 m above sea level.

Where is Altenschwand and our house located? Altenschwand is a district of the small village of Rickenbach in the south-western corner of Germany, not far from the Swiss border (12 km). Rickenbach belongs to the Hotzenwald, the southernmost part of the Black Forest. On the map you will find Rickenbach near the spa town of Bad Säckingen about 26 km east of Basel Hochrein and 67 km from
Zurich. The small hamlet of Altenschwand is only marked on a few maps
marked, it is located 2 km north of Rickenbach in the direction of Herrischried.

The house is available to you at 17:00 on the day of arrival. A deposit and a fee per night and pet must be paid in cash on arrival. After departure and proper return of the vacation property, the deposit will be refunded minus any incidental costs or damages incurred. You are also obliged to pay the electricity costs on departure.
