The Falling Leaf Cabin is nestled in the woods in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Private community access to the Shenandoah River is within a 3/4 mile. The Cabin is located 15 minutes from the town of Luray, and within a 30 minute drive of many popular attractions such as Shenandoah National Park, the Shenandoah River and Luray Caverns.

Whether you are here for a romantic weekend, family gathering or simply to get away from it all, once you visit Falling Leaf Cabin you will never want to leave.

The Cabin is privately owned and family operated, offering all the comforts of home.

The Falling Leaf Cabin sleeps up to 4 guest, features 2 bedrooms with Queen Beds and 1 & 1/2 Baths. The main bedroom is a spacious loft, while the second downstairs bedroom has a private half bath. The fully equipped Kitchen leads to a Dining and Living area with hardwood floors , 18' vaulted ceilings with a Gas Log Stone fireplace. A cozy upper back deck has a beautiful view of the Massanutten Mountain. Outside, listen to the sounds of nature as you relax in the Hot Tub. Adjacent to the Cabin there is a fire-pit to enjoy camping experience.

Husband and I just needed a little weekend away and this cabin was perfect. The amenities were wonderful. Beds and couch were very comfy. The pans and dishes were much better than cabins we have stayed in previously making it so much easier to cook and keep things clean. Would definitely stay away

Adventure at its best
We gathered at Falling Leaf cabin for an adventurous experience in the mountains of Shenandoah National Park. The cabin was spectacular and well accommodated. Great location! We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. I will definitely recommend this stay to all who are headed to the mountains!

A beautiful getaway to unwind
Overall, the actual property itself was wonderful. However, the fact that linens are not automatically provided should be more up front instead to tucked in the very bottom in the amenities portion. It would be better to just provide linens and add that to the overall cost. It just felt that we were nickel and dimed. Also please consider giving full information like the lockbox number in the welcome email. Internet is really spotty - which is to be expected, and we don't mind that at all. However, it was extremely stressful to try to get the lockbox information via the app when we didn't have internet. Otherwise, I would fully recommend the property.

Anniversary vacation
Very cozy, comfortable cabin. Everything I expected and more! Quiet area, except for the sounds of nature, roosters crowing, and a distant train. Cabin was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen was great, as others have commented. Mattresses were comfortable. Internet spotty, but worked with it, but also expected. No cell service. Firepit very nice.

This is the perfect location to get away from screens and get off the grid. Close and easy access to Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, and the Appalachian trail. Andrea was so super helpful and solid with communication!

Total relaxation
The property was charming and beautiful. The cabin felt very cozy. The kitchen was perfect, I loved all the appliances and it had everything you could need to cook. Pots and pans, dishes and bowls, mixers and utensils. It has it all. The hot tub was wonderful especially in the early morning when it's chilly. Perfect size charcoal grill that we cooked a couple of amazing meals on. The Wi-Fi is a little spotty but all in all worked surprisingly well. My son brought his gaming system and it worked quite well. I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness. We encountered a few things like the refrigerator was dirty inside and also the microwave. The oven hasn't been cleaned in awhile. Silverware, pots and pans were dirty and we found a pair of dirty underwear left in the dresser drawer downstairs. But even with that I would definitely stay there again. It was very relaxing and that was most important.

Not worth the price
With all the additional charges this place is not worth it.. My two night stay ended up being 800+ with half of it being just initial fees. When we arrived and the cabin bathroom did not drain well so you shower in dirty water and sheets were stained. And we checked the guest book and this has happened in the past. And then because of a 2 towels on the floor and beer bottles in the kitchen we got another 150$ fee. What a scam. Do not recommend this experience.

Peaceful stay but a few items to note if staying here
We stayed in this cute cabin for 5 days. It was 2 adults and a 12 year old child. PROS: clean, well decorated (minimal cozy), peaceful, remote, kitchen space was wonderful (nice pots and pans, dishes, utensils). Beautiful porch. Nice fire pit area. CONS: 1) hot tub was gross; hot tub was the reason we booked here. The night before we left a company came to clean it, but we were already half packed, so we never got to use the hot tub. Very disappointing. 2) Tub doesn’t drain well at all. Be prepared for ankle deep water when you shower. 3) there is zero level ground on the property. Pictures appear misleading- as it’s a challenge for older people or children to navigate up and down the yard from the fire pit and hot tub. My son sprained his ankle pretty bad, coming up the hill. There should be some mention of this in the listing, as I imagine many people would find this challenging. 4) there are no bedrooms on main floor. This wasn’t a big deal till we had a mobility issue (sons sprained ankle) so we had to carry him up and down the stairs which are wood and very steep. 5) bedroom upstairs has no doors. 6) basement bedroom is very humid, even with a humidifier 7) internet is not reliable and cell service is nonexistent for Verizon customers (google-fi worked okay, though); TV uses internet so it’s spotty 8) this is obvious, but for someone that might not have much experience in a mountain setting- lots and lots and lots of bugs. 9) beds not very comfortable

Cute Cabin
My husband, adult daughter and I enjoyed our few days in this very clean forest cabin. The kitchen had everything I needed to make a few meals. We had fun in the hot tub and made a nice fire (bring your own wood) at night. I wouldn’t recommend this for families with small children or people who have mobility issues because of the stairs but it’s a gem of a find everyone else.

A great woodland escape! Cute little cabin, well maintained, perfectly located for the Shenandoah River, hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Management and staff very friendly, especially when we got our day of departure wrong, and had a 20 minute “fire drill” to gather our belongings and get out for the cleanup team!

We did love the cabin. Very clean & comfortable. The road to get there was a little small but we got used to it. We were worried what we would do if a car came the other way and driveway was disconcerting at first but we did find level ground. And got used to it pretty quickly. So I’d maybe mention that in description. Maybe I missed it. Location was good. Easy drive in and out of town.

The new place was nice, quaint and peaceful, bu not without some problems. There’s was a indoor bug issue, no outdoor picnic table, and the internet was worse than cell service (TV relied on internet to stream content). After our trip, I contacted the owner and have since been ghosted. The location was nice, the hot top worked and was recently serviced. The fire pit and outdoor grill work great and the indoor air conditioning was perfect. Instructions were provided, check in and checkout was a breeze. Be aware it’s mostly a wooded property and the yard is a hill. Our dog enjoyed the place, but the hill made it difficult for our toddler to be free. I’m a pretty understanding individual but was disappointed in this property. We have stayed within this neighborhood before and like it.

Beautiful cabin
This was exactly what my wife and I needed to relax and unwind. Cabin looks small on the outside but looks are deceiving. The layout and design was perfect and allows each space to feel open and comfortable. Only thing I’d say is the view has potential to be awe inspiring if some of the overgrowth and branches are trimmed. Even so it was a fantastic experience and we will be back.
