We are still currently staying at property. We had 1 issue that was quite disturbing: at 930 pm last night - housekeeping entered our room with a pass key to ask if we needed towels (which we did not call for). We reported this to the front desk and they did not seem concerned that housekeeping was entering guest rooms at night. Also since our flight was arriving in the early morning, we decided to book & prepay for a room for the night before so we wouldn’t have to wait for check in time. Our room was not ready and we had to wait for housekeeping to finish cleaning the room and we were denied the breakfast @ 10:02 because the desk took 30 minutes to check us in. We did enjoy the breakfast the next day and the front desk personnel are friendly and overall the room is fine.

- Water like sounds coming from ceiling - Constant generator sound right outside - Loud fridge noises - unused - Damaged pillow cases - Not thoroughly cleaned bedding - Window is small and not representative of the pictures online, view is also beyond miserable - Thin walls can hear from other rooms very easily

Room is small, the rest is great!
Location is perfect. Breakfast is substantial in a busy dining room. Great view from the street facing rooms (rear rooms face nothing). But as others have written, the rooms are small. The bathrooms even smaller (but updated and clean).

Barely enough, but good location for Rio trip
Run-down old hotel, not clean enough. At first I was terribly disappointed, but got used to it. Looks like the haven't done enough restorations and maintenance since the year 2000. Kind receptionists, kind cleaning staff. Comfortable bed. Toiletries are barely enough: soap melts away. Lobby is very dirty: they don't even clean the dust! The entire lobby is very very dirty. Terribly cold in the dining room, where there are not enough places for all the hungry guests unless you get up at 7 AM. Good location near the Arcoverde metro station and close to the Copacabana beach and a number of small shops. But the area is quite dirty with homeless thugs, shady creeps all around harassing travelers. This hotel is acceptable, if you want to save money and need a location where taxi stations, metro, Copacabana, shops are accessible. But there are better (more expensive) hotels in the area.

English speaking receptionist, very accomodating. I knew I'd shown up early but was just hoping I could just leave my bags at reception and grab lunch until the appropriate time but was allowed to check in 4 hours early. Walking distance to anywhere in Copabanana, the area fealt safe and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby to choose from and the metro station is directly across the street should you wish to go farther afield.

Mostly great, although my sheets where the cleanest and had stains on them. Rooms was next to the main road and very loud, even if you gave me some ear plugs I would of been happy with that! But breakfast was great, beds were comfy, shower was ok no the warmest or closest. All in all 6/10

quite a dated hotel that really needs upgrading pros - if you use the metro the hotel is situated opposite a station , wifi works good , hotel is 3 roads back from Copacobana beach approx 5 minute walk , lots of bars / restaurents very close to the hotel , nice friendly staff cons - rooms a bit dated & not very big , cable tv very poor for english language channels , breakfast hall very small & not that great a selection over priced @ xmas new year period as is most of Rio

This hotel was very basic. Check-in took 15-20 minutes, even though our reservation was prepaid. The bed were so hard, they were not comfortable. The views outside the room was of an awful inner courtyard, and our window was half obstructed. The positive thing was it was extremely quiet, even on New Year’s Eve. However, the area itself is not nice, but this isn’t the fault of the hotel. Overall, i would say expect a very basic place to sleep, and that’s it.

The Nobile Hotel Copacabana Design in Rio de Janeiro has 2 good things going for it. It is very close to the beach and at least the 2 rooms we had on 2 different floors were very clean. Rooms are not large, the bed and 1 chair just fit in the room. Me and my wife could not walk around the bed side by side anywhere in the room. The Beds were square and very hard. Not a lump or soft spot in them. The pillows we had were a combination of one extra firm and the other became as flat as a sheet of paper once you laid on it. The TV that was on the opposite wall is not for those with seeing deficiencies. The wall slot made for a TV was huge but I did not know they made TV’s that small anymore. I think it was 21inch maybe a little bigger. There was no blanket when we arrived I had to ask for 2 from the reception and they looked at me funny when I did so. The bed just came with a Top Sheet. The bathroom like I mentioned before smelled the clean scent of bleach and ammonia, the smell you wish in a hotel bathroom. The towels were clean but they need to buy new ones. They had been washed so many times their were no fibers left on large cloths to actually dry yourself with. The bathroom ventilation was also so poor nothing would dry in their if you hung up the towels so needed to get new ones everyday.
