Cockroaches ! Con’s- This is an awful property- don’t get conned by the facade or entrance ! Staff unhelpful - ask anything “ wait for manager who starts work at 09:00-can’t help you “ don’t care if your tour starts before , Holes in the wall 2ft hole exposed to out behind loud air conditioner, toilet -> You can hear others & inappropriate sounds coming thro as top ceiling of the toilet is a grill - not sure if others can actually see you !! Hear people all the time / plus bedroom wall paper thin- hear phones ringing next door !- Privacy ? No coffee in room or kettle Little or no proper charging unit in room They ring you incessantly 1/2 hour before check out time. Old building Probably ideal for 1 level above back packer hostel. Pros - Close to Beach Small pool on floor 14( not 13) 3 star breakfast only No - we wouldn’t stay here or recomend it

People at the front desk don’t care about the cuatomer, after a long flight I was ready to get some rest, Front desk don’t do nothing to help out with early check in, there were a lot of ppl waiting to check in, they told us to wait till 3pm, We waited, but by the time was 3pm there were 2 guests that arrive that time, and rhey get their rooms before all the people that were waiting for more than 2 hours. My room wasn’t ready because they’re “cleaning it “ when I get to the room bathroom dirty, I found other people hair in the sink, shower was leaking, glassdoor was with water, I stepped out next day, I came back to the room it wasn’t cleaned, I saw the lady on my floor, I went down to the lobby, almost 2 hours down there, I went up again, my room was still not cleaned, I called the front desk to get some towels, soap and shampoo, I told them not to clean anymore, I needed some rest.

They made an unauthorized charge on my card for US$35 to check in an hour early, and then I was harassed when trying to check out by the rudest staff imaginable, who made me late for my flight. I would rather sleep on the street then visit that hotel again.

Would think twice before I stay there again!
I was asked to wait till 3 pm to check in, front desk allowed a couple to check in sooner. That left me with a bitter taste about the place. The bathroom had no toilet paper. The excercise room was inoperable the whole time I was there. I had asked for a single bed and was given twin beds. Breakfast was good but the plates for the main entre werebread plates making it difficult to get any food on the plate.

Check-in: fast, very good, great staff at desk early evening. Late night staff were incredibly rude, tossed cash at me when I asked for change after buying a water bottle. - Cleanliness: lobby is ok, elevator and other areas leading to my room smell like mould/very old carpet, room was ok but shower was dirty with hair stuck to the walls and a blocked drain. Very unpleasant. - Wi-Fi: flaky at best, doesn't always work but enough to read emails and write a review. - Room: air-con does not work! Too small for this room size, temperature in the room was over 30 degrees all night. I tried different settings, the thing just can't cope, might as well just let me open the windows. Power fittings in the bathroom falling off, electrocution hazard. - Noise: not too bad, a bit of background noise from the streets. Location: I can see the sea and could walk down to the beach in about 5 minutes, nice neighbourhood

Great staff.. helpful and friendly
Despite the language barrier staff were friendly and helpful.some did speak English and others tried.breakfast was good, no complaints. I would for sure recommend this hotel.Fairly central to most attractions. Two blocks roughly to the beach.

Very nice hotel - good price, excellent location near Metro and Copacabana Beach. Staff very accommodating and handled by late booking very professionally. Nice restaurant and good breakfast. Only downside is the internet in the room does not work but there is a pc in the lobby.

Checkin was terrible. I had my expedia confirmation in an e-mail and they claimed not to have it on their reservation system. The staff at the front desk was not nice at all. I had to call Expedia from a borrowed phone to have someone from Expedia call the hotel. Finally the hotel ackowledged they had the reservation. The hotel looks old. It seem to want to keep a 4 star rating by having bellboys and a pool while having very old and poorly renovated facilities. The room was poorly decorated. Beth clothing was terrible. A/C was an old window type.

My flight arrived early in the morning i know check in time was 2pm when everyone has checked out for the day and given time to clean the room that i understand.when i arrived at the hotel they don't have my confirmation number and the front desk don't speak english not even a complimentary coffee like other hotels.the room is ok but the bedsheets are not big enough to cover the bed when you wake up in the morning you are already sleeping on the mattres .breakfast is ok since it's only coffee that ineed. Noise level you can hear the conversation from ur next room.my safety deposit box is broken and i have to keep my passport and money with me all the time.
