Converted chapel with garden
Lovely & very comfortable property, with everything you need. Full kitchen, lounge & lovely garden. In a very small village in the beautiful Ardennes, but close to several towns, sights and nature activities. Great for families. Hosts Catherine & Manu were very welcoming.

Schitterende locatie, ontzettend smaakvol ingericht qua ruimte, kleuren en meubilair. De neo-gotische kapel én de ingebouwde open haard zijn een subliem sluitstuk. De keuken is voorzien van alle benodigdheden, met stijlvolle borden/tassen, er zijn zelfs grote pottten en meerdere snijplanken voorzien. De omgeving nodigt uit voor mooie wandelingen. Er zijn wandelkaarten en er is toeristische informatie voorzien. Een mooi stukje Ardennen!

We hebben er een leuk weekend met ons gezin besteed. Het huis is rustig gelegen en zeer goed uitgerust, zowel in de keuken als in de woonruimte is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Zeer gezellige leefruimte!

Het is een speciale locatie, heel mooi met de gewelven en gotische ramen. Alles was aanwezig.

Excellent value property in the Belgian Ardennes
The converted chapel provided a well situated property in the pleasant little village of Eprave. The owners and neighbours were very welcoming and the property was excellent value for money with three bedrooms, easily accomodating 6 people. Maps and walking guides were provided for all the local areas. It is a great area for cycling too with the Ravel - a disused railway line, now tarmaced, only 1km away providing an easy 18km route. There were pleasant routes along quiet roads if you want more challenging rides around the area with good views from the tops of hills. A visit to the amazing caves at Han-sur-Lesse is a must and there are plenty of castles, and ofcourse - good beer!

Perfect, quiet stay in unique accommodation
We booked this as a last minute stay as our holiday to France was cancelled due to flooding. The converted church is very unique and will amply accommodate 6 people. Although we did not meet the owner, the neighbour showed us how to operate everything and was there in case we needed anything. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and very enjoyable stay. The BBQ came in very handy on the dry evenings for cooking outside and the log burner was a treat on wet evenings when the temperature dropped. Parking is available outside the property on the roadside and is free of charge. We were not aware that bedding and towels are not provided in this property but apparently this is standard in Belgium. This property in located in the French speaking area of Belgium and we did not find anyone who spoke any English. Luckily, we did mange to converse a little and there is always Google translate if you get really stuck! The village of Eprave is very quiet with only 1 expensive restaurant and no shop. The nearest town in Rochefort, about 10 minutes drive away and has an abundance of places to eat and bars. Perfect location for walking, cycling and having a peaceful holiday. We would definitely stay in this property again.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in La Chapelle.
Catherine en Manu zijn gastvrij, communiceren goed en zijn goed bereikbaar. Het huis is sfeervol en voorzien van alle comfort en een gezellige inrichting. Er is volop servies, pannen, kruiden, toiletpapier, afwasmiddel, handsoaps etc. De woning is netjes en schoon, de tuin is mooi en goed onderhouden en de bedden zijn uitstekend. In huis zijn veel wandelkaarten en gidsjes met toeristische informatie aanwezig. Kortom: een heerlijke vakantiewoning waar je je meteen thuis voelt. We komen dan ook graag terug!

Week in Eprave
Het huis was zoals omschreven in e advertentie. Het is ruim met een prachtige tuin. De badkamer is gedateerd maar de eigenaren hebben aangegeven dat deze binnenkort vervangen gaat worden. Ik heb samen met met mijn 2 zussen genoten van het huis, de tuin en de omgeving. Heerlijk dat we allemaal een eigen kamer hadden. Het mooie weer speelde ook een goede rol waardoor we veel in de tuin konden verblijven. De grotten van Han is op 5 minuten rijden van het huis. De natuur is prachtig. Kortom het was een top week! Een aanrader om te huren dit huis!

Prima verblijf
De kapel is een mooie plaats om te verblijven! Het is gezellig ingericht, alles is aanwezig en het is netjes en schoon. Catherine en Manu zijn goed bereikbaar voor vragen en denken met je mee. In de omgeving is genoeg te doen: mooie wandelingen, leuke stadjes en musea om te bezoeken. Kortom: een prima plek om de vakantie door te brengen!

Het was heerlijk toeven in La Chapelle. Het vakantiehuis is van alle gemakken voorzien (volop servies, pannen, zeep, kruiden, afwasmiddel etc.) Ook gidjes met informatie over bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten in de omgeving.

Wij hadden een lang weekend geboekt in de gite van Brigitte & Paul. De tot gastenhuis omgebouwde kapel is een heel leuke verblijfplaats. Alles wat nodig is, is beschikbaar. Van een zuidgericht terras over een mooie leefruimte met kachel tot een volledig voorziene keuken. Het dorpje heeft heel wat charme en er zijn heel wat bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Meer moest dat echt niet zijn...

What a wonderful place! When you arrive at the location you only see the front of the house, which is very nice but not special. This is when you enter the house and see the beautiful spacious chapel. We have had a wonderful weekend and looooooved this place! The area has a lot of places to go to on excursions and if you like walking this is the place to be. The house is clean, cosy, has everything you need and more! Perfect weekend get-away
This chapel is the perfekt weekend getaway. We went there as a group of friends and enjoyed the quiet surroundings, the spacious living area and the fireplace a lot. Check in and communication were easy, the kitchen is well equipped. Mind the fact that two of the beds are king size and one is queen size when bringing your own bed sheets. Thanks!

Tout fut impeccable.
Parfait. la maison était propre et chauffée. Le voisin nous a tout expliqué. le séjour s'est passé parfaitement. J'ai eu un problème avec le logiciel Abritel: Brigitte la propriétaire m'a répondu aux questions que je posais mais c'était difficile de lui répondre. A chaque fois que je voulais m'adresser à elle, le logiciel buggait. Merci à elle pour toutes les infos précises et rapides.
