Broke down my door because of deadbolt issue.
The hotel is old. I got locked into my room and they had to use a crowbar to break down the door to get me out. The good news is I didn't miss my flight. The employees didn't seem happy. There must be some issues all around.

Pre cruise 2 night stay. Hotel on a super beach in an area with lots of restaurants and shops. Room was good but no bedside lights or switch to turn off the main light. All the room picks on the website have bedside lamps. identified issue in arrival survey to no avail. Would stay againn for the beach but this is a very three star experience.

The Accra was an amazing beach front property. Could not have asked for a better location. Very close proximity to other dining venues - and all very good! The only con would be there were never enough beach chairs and umbrellas for the guests. Would definitely recommend the Accra.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. we stayed there in 2012 and the room we stayed in seemed like it was never updated or renovated. The room had a bad mold smell, there was moisture everywhere, the bathroom was not clean. Its a good thing we only stayed one night there. NOT going back there.

I was really reluctant after reading all the bad reviews but I booked it anyway because I wanted a big pool area. Well I was pleasantly surprised. It was no where near as bad as the reviews made it sound. It definitely had one of the beach areas. The pool was large. Yes it is very dated but a lot of hotels in Barbados are. The jacuzzi did not work and I wish I had known that before I booked it. They gave me a credit but I was charged so taxes they stated were shown on Expedia. The location of the hotel was perfect walking distance to the (less then 1.5m) Gap nightlife. Lots of restaurants even closer.

Hotel / Rooms could use an update.Paying at the beach bar is kinda a pain in the bu##. When paying cash he has to run inside to get change. paying with CC you have to wait as well. Like in every other hotel around the world, towel / beach chair horders early in the morning, then you don't see them half the day. The hotel should remove towels from chairs after a certain time.

Property is picturesque, right on the Rockley beachfront. Rooms were clean. That’s where the praise ends. We stayed twice on either end of a cruise because it was the hotel recommended by the cruise line. Check-in pre-cruise was terrible. Despite advertised check-in time of 3pm, our room wasn’t ready until 8:30pm… 4 hours after we arrived. Hotel manager “compted” dinner as an apology. Check-in post cruise was worse. We arrived prior to check-in time, notified the front desk upon arrival and were prepared to wait. When check in time arrived, we were told that room wasn’t ready. Two hours later and several visits to front desk, we were finally given our room. However, there was no running water: no shower, no sink taps, no toilets. We were told that maintenance had gone home for the day and problem would not be resolved until morning. We finally spoke with the manager, who gave us another room. When we got in, there was no hot water. Do NOT stay here!

Beautiful beach. Food terrible and over priced - prawns like mush, fish dried out, corn withered. Property looked like no maintenance had been done for years.

We were there just for a night before boarding a cruise. The room was ok but not as pretty as in the pictures. We had a lateral view with no beach view.

You can tell that the owners don’t care about this property. It’s severely understaffed and the property needs a major upgrade. Most of the service staff is great- bartenders, housekeeping, security, etc is great. You can tell that they are overworked and underpaid. The management is not very nice. For the price, I would not stay here again. The biggest upside is that it’s across the street from a lot of restaurants. You can’t get food (not even bottled water) here after 10 pm. The property is definitely not kid or family friendly either. This place is best for people who are retired, hate kids, and go to bed at 7 pm.

Beautiful Beach
The beach was Beautiful the water was fantastic the pools etc very nice, beach chairs old and sagging. Shower nicely finished but taps terrible and very little water pressure and hot water. Otherwise it was ok nice.

The check in was absolutely diabolical as we arrived about 430 pm and had to wait 2 hours for our room. Hundreds of people were trying to check in and there was not enough staff.
