It is obvious from entering the cabin that this property is a well used (and loved) family vacation home. It seemed from the guest book entry that the family has somewhat recently began renting out the property.
Pros: Great spot on the lake, beautiful scenery, lovely dock, ease of parking; felt very private despite neighbors. Lots of board games/cards, etc. and was reasonably priced. [We did not use the paddleboat or small kayak that was available. There is a very large nice firering/pit though we did not use.] There is one wall A/C unit in the dining room and a portable window vented A/C unit in the master bedroom.
Cons: The cabin is literally packed with "stuff". While the owners did clear some space for renters, most of the cabinets/drawers/closets were full. The kitchen had no empty space except for one counter, and the drawers were so disorganized it took forever to find anything (never did find a whisk). No vent fan for the stove/oven and the oven has not been cleaned so house was smoky when in use. The 2nd non-master bath is located at the back of the house so you have to walk through the entire house (and under the loft utility ladder if using) to access that bathroom (I would suggest adding some nightlights in the living room/dining room to help illuminate.)
My older teens enjoyed the loft area but I agree with other reviewers that the trapdoor/ladder access is not set up for small children. The queen bedroom downstairs is a good size with outdoor access and the yellow room would be good for kids as it is next to the master bedroom but it is very small.
Overall, the cabin is in a beautiful location and is great for those who don't mind sharing another families personal space and being surrounded by their momentos, etc.
