Perfect if all you want is a clean bed at the end of the day. We were inexperienced travellers at this point in our holiday so can’t really comment on location. Half hour walk with suitcases to train station. Traditional breakfast in the morning with beautiful fresh pastries. Close to Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica.

The room was excellent, it is regularly housekept. We got refills of stuff inside the mini-fridge. Our only complaint is that the staircase has stinky smell. It was actually frustrating when we entered for check-in, but our room was fresh and neat. Overall, we liked the location and staff are friendly. We just hope they will improve the condition as the building is really old.

Excellent stay, and the AC works well to beat the Rome summers. Check-in was very easy, even with a late arrival and the front desk being closed. The staff is quick to respond and helpful with services. The location is great. I would definitely like to stay here again if I visit Rome.

The Aenea in was a charming old hotel with the oversized green entry doors tall ceilings, and marble that was so old that it was worn down on spots by traffic. Of you are looking for old world charm you will love it. It was also in a good location with several authentic little restaurants and cafes.

Didn’t realize how old property was. Felt unsafe. Wasn’t able to open the main door was extremely scared of being locked out at 11pm at night! Unsafe area. Don’t recommend

This was a great location, with extremely friendly staff. They were always willing to help answer questions and fresh breads/croissants were outside our door each morning. I hope to get back to Rome, and I would definitely stay here again.

This room was in a great location having many places of interest to visit in walking distance like St Peter’s Basilica, The Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi and many other churches and historical places as well as having a great variety of restaurants,cafes,pannini bars and Gelato.. The room was well presented clean and very comfortable.. Staff was pleasant and very helpful.. Enjoyed the stay !!!

The hotel is in a quiet street however you would not know where to go as the entrance is a regular door of a building. That mad me a bit skeptical. Very narrow elevator or "lift." Only my teenage son and his luggage fit so my other and I had to lug our luggage one flight: There was a very friendly receptionist who spoke English and was very helpful. Our room was not very big but not tiny either. It was quaint, had a queen size bed and a twin size bed as well as a small table. The bathroom was very clean and we had ample towels. Overall the room was clean and luckily we had air conditioning as Rome is very hot in late June. My big gripe is that there isn't 14 hour reception and you come in late at night or leave before 9am you have no one to ask questions to or even get a taxi. Not sure if I would stay here again if I ever go back to Rome.
