The proximity to a beach within walking distance. The ease of transportation from the hotel to the airport was noted. However, the pickup from the airport was confusing and should have included expected times for the shuttle. We waited for over an hour and a different carrier said the shuttle would be another 45 minutes, they took us for an increased fee instead of waiting in the mid-day sun even longer.

We loved the Hotel Tiber! We had a morning flight out of Rome/Riumicino, and the Tiber was super-close - 5 minutes by car, so the convenience was terrific. Beyond convenient, though, this small, un-fussy hotel is stylish, the restaurant is surprisingly good, and the setting - the village where the River Tiber enters the Mediterranean, with dozens of fishing boats lining the jetty - is a far, fun cry from the typical airport hotel. If ever we're leaving Rome on a morning flight, we'll look forward to the Hotel Tiber again!

We never actually stayed here because there was a "plumbing issue" but the communication between the hotel and myself was impeccable right from the day I booked, to the day before the stay when they informed me that we were transferred to another hotel down the street, which they had taken care of everything. The area around the hotel is a little city, so not much to see and do.

Such a pleasing airport experience!
The hotel is delightful. The night we stayed--a summer Saturday--it was a pleasure to jump in the pool and walk to the end of the jetty out front where the fishing boats were docked. The food was good and the service was excellent.

I was a bit skeptical as the reviews were not that great. The staff was not very welcoming which I was disappointed about. The room was okay. A bit dated and had ants in certain spots. We were just staying there for one night so wasn't going to make a big fuss. I was surprised that you had to pay for pool towels and a swim cap only to see other patrons at the pool not using the "mandatory" swim caps. The pool chaises were dirty and some of the built is sun visors were broken. The towels were so worn and I think were meant to be white but appeared a weird gray. The area was great and offered many dining options.
