Would NOT recommend! I made a last minute online booking about 1.5hrs before arrival, and I couldn't even stay at this property due to feeling unsafe with my family. We checked out again about an hour later. The rooms pictured are at the back of the property and are the only thing 'done up' since being emergency housing (interior only). The remainder of the property looks like its decades past needing repair/upgrade and even though it stated the pool and restaurant were under repair - there was no signs of that. I was given a park at the front of the property facing rooms with peeling painted over windows or stacks of applicances. Rusty pipes everywhere. Before booking online, I phoned to ask if they were emergency housing to which they said no and they did not mention that they HAD been. I only found this out when they phoned me and their old name 'Four Canoes' came up. They have refused to provide any refund to me despite not even staying there.

The Marsden provided everything we needed for our. Nice clean tidy room, good beds to come back to each evening. And the shower was one of the best we've experienced in all our years of traveling.

Overall this was great accommodation for myself and my daughter :) The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy and it was very local to the shops. The only con was that there was no air conditioning, so it was a little hot at night time. It was also under renovations so looked run down from the outside and the pool wasnt going. Othet than that it was fine :)

I’m sorry to say but we did not like our stay For the price we payed for 2 nights $498 It was an unfinished renovation room with paint all over the windows, room only had a undercoat, no extractor fan in bathroom, and also had masking tape over the smoke detector which is not safe, our sliding door to go outside had building and old hotel rubbish. also the guest above us was outside smoking weed So not a great experience at all

Overall the room was nice as it had recently been renovated, nice bed and sheets. However, the bathroom tiles still hadn’t been cleaned properly, the shower head leaked and was either boiling hot or cold, no hand towel rail. No iron in the room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel seemed a bit dingy but the rooms were nice once you got inside.

Firstly, they are clearly doing some serious renovating, so on the face of it the place can look a little untidy and tired. However, the sections they have renovated are at a very high standard and were very impressive. Looks like this will be an excellent place once all the work is done.

The property was nice and quiet, staff were amazing. Parking may have been a little inconvenient from where my allocated room was but was not an issue as I was the very last room which seemed to be the only ground floor room with no park but was more happier that the allocated car park was more secure than where my room was. There was no plates bowls or cutlery but plenty of coffee and tea and 2x glasses mugs and wine glasses. TV had very limited channels and almost all were religious, HDMI cable to be brought with if using an Apple product. Overall room nice and tidy, comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff and located close to the CBD.

Being updated but what has been done is good
The King Size room I booked was well appointed and modern. Everything was very clean. Some parts of the hotel are being updated so the stairway seemed to have paint on it tho the corridors were fine. The pool is currently not in use. It’s small but adequate. The area it was in looked fine. The reception and staff were was well done. The restaurant opens in about six weeks approx. Car park well marked. There is no lift but the staff took my heavier bag up for me.

I wish we knew about the renovations before booking, we booked for the pool for our kids, the shower was dirty and the bathroom floor still had dust from the renovations. The bedroom and linen and was amazing, the reception was great. Once the renovations are completed I am sure the place will be amazing.
