INSIDE THE DOME:
The dome itself houses the bedroom, wet room, and kitchenette.
BEDROOM:
Relax in our gorgeous King sized bed with an Emma Hybrid mattress. Not only will you be comfortable, but also not short of space in this gorgeous big bed.
BATHROOM:
Behind the sleeping area is your own private wet room. Complete with flushing toilet, basin and rainforest shower. Pure Egyptian cotton bath, hand and face towels provided as well as pure cotton hooded bath robes for when you use the hot tub.
KITCHEN:
Glamping is all about outdoor living, cooking and eating under the stars but for when the weather doesn’t allow for it, the indoor kitchenette is very handy. It is kitted-out with all the basic stuff you will need for rustling together a warm quick meal. In the kitchen you'll find:
- Mini induction hob
- Stove top whistling kettle
- Italian stove top coffee percolator & plunger
- Fridge with small freezer compartment.
- Plus all the cutlery, cooking instruments, dining equipment and pans you need to cook.
PLUS! Outside you'll find a BBQ/fire pit for alfresco dining - We provide you with a bag of charcoal to get you started as well as cast iron pots and outdoor cooking utensils.
PETS:
We welcome your pets to come and stay with us because we understand the bond between humans and their furry companions. However please only bring them along if they are well behaved, they don’t chew on furniture and you keep them clean after muddy walks.
There are food and water bowls for your dog on site.
HOT TUB:
To make your stay truly special we have a gorgeous wood-fired hot tub. We provide you with enough wood and kindling to get your first fire going.
HOT TUB HEATING:
The hot tub is log fired, so you will need to light this and heat this up during your stay - without assistance. We provide instructions and ‘How to’ videos to help with this.
Prior to your stay, we will empty, sanitise and re-fill the hot tub. This is the standard hygiene practice for all log-fired hot tubs and ensures you're not sharing the water of the previous guests.
The hot tub takes approximately 2-4 hours to heat up (depending on ground and air temperature). If you are arriving a lot later in the day, please bear in mind, you might not be able to heat the hot tub up in time, for that first evening.
HEATING & COOLING:
The Dome's main source of heating is a log burning stove. This is an excellent source of heating. You will need to be able to light and maintain a fire to heat the Dome with the log burning stove - if this is something you are not used to, we provide instructions and ‘How to' videos, as we are not on-site to light this for you.
We are also supplying you with 2 cosy hot water bottles for when its chilly.
In the summer moths you can use the porthole window and ceiling fan for good air circulation and cooling and we suggest keeping the skylight closed to reduce the heat.
LOGS, FIRELIGHTERS & MATCHES:
We provide guests with a bundle of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches. More than enough for the first night, but if you need to keep the stove burning through-out the day or if you need to keep the hot tub water hot, you will need to purchase more. Any additional logs or firelighters you need, can be purchased through us, if we are available or from any local shops. The closest location is the Esso petrol station, 2 miles away and open 24 hours. It stocks everything you will need.
GUEST ACCESS:
Accessed through a locked, private driveway down a little lane off the main road. You'll park in a private parking area opposite the glamping site.
ACCESSIBILITY:
We have designed the Glamping Site with people who have limited mobility in mind. Finally somewhere that can accommodate those with limited mobility and in most cases even wheelchair users!
The path from the car park to the site entrance is completely flat and smooth.
From the site entrance gate to the decking area is a ramp. The raised decking does not have any safety rails but is very spacious.
The entrance to the Dome itself has a small threshold of about 8cm, which almost all wheelchairs can handle. The front door width is 78cm wide. Once inside the Dome there are no steps at all. The width of the wet room door is 73cm.
There are no grab rails in the shower room however it is very open and spacious.
To get to the garden area, there is a ramp from the raised decking onto the grass.
If you have any questions with regards to accessibility, please drop us a message prior to your booking.
