Rusty’s Loft in NW Ohio. 70 plus positive reviews!

Rusty's Loft is a second story chalet style one room apartment, with 360 degree views of Farm fields and woods. We kept the walls to a minimum to preserve the views. There is a large wrap around deck with views of the pond. The 900 sf space includes a full bath and full kitchen with all appliances and accessories. The full bathroom is fully furnished with lots of towels and most bathroom necessities including soap, shampoo, conditioner, tissues and tp. The space includes a unique queen size bed made of Texas cypress. The couch folds out with a new memory foam mattress and there is a queen air mattress for the third bed. Linens are included. This is just one room, so there is little privacy, but it is very cozy. A nice sitting area allows for games or conversation and the bar has four swivel bar stools for dining. Gliders are available for viewing the animals grazing across the road. Behind the loft is a campsite with two rockers and a double person swing with a view of the pond. Afire ring and firewood is provided for your campsite enjoyment. Rusty, the steer, and Lexi and Buckeye, the mini horses are fun to watch and meet. The barn across the road is available to explore and also see our barn kitty, Brindle, and the turkey and chickens. The creek on the property runs 1200 feet to the south branch of the Portage river. Hiking trails cover the property and the pond is available to kayak, or swim. There's also a paddle boat for use on the pond. Sunsets are amazing here and the limited light makes star gazing possible. Quiet and remote, Rusty's Loft is the place you've been looking for to unwind and de-stress.
We use an ozone generator after the loft is thoroughly cleaned to purify and sanitize the space leaving a fresh clean space for each guest. Pets are welcome with an additional fee.
We have only rented for a couple of years and everything in the space is nearly new. We have a new hearth with simulated fire and real heat. A faux sheepskin rug makes the space comfy and warm.

The best VRBO experience ever
We stayed at Rusty's retreat for the solar eclipse. Our Hosts, Jay and Heather were absolutely amazing. They are like folks you meet once in a lifetime, but never forget. Their property is so beautiful. It was great for our teens - they could swim in the lake, fish, catch frogs, play cornhole... they were very entertained. We went with another family and Jay and Heather were very accommodating so that we could all be in the same area. We enjoyed meeting people around the property and the animals that live there. The property is very clean, the lodgings way exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Rusty's retreat to anyone and would love to go back again. The property was very busy with folks coming in to see the eclipse and our hosts made everyone feel at home. They set up games, music, campfires, and made it fun for everyone. What a perfect place and perfect environment to share this special event. It was amazing!

This place was so peaceful and beautiful! Jay was very kind and gave us a tour in the golf cart. The animals were adorable. The loft was just lovely and I wished we were able to stay longer. Had a beautiful wrap around "balcony" with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the view. There was also a fire pit with chairs and a swing out back. The pond was very pretty as well. There is a brewery/winery in Fostoria (I think it is the Honey Bee or something like that) that is small but has some very tasty food! The Cuban Sandwich and the pretzel with beer cheese was very YUMMY :) Don't hesitate to book here if you want some peace and quiet away from the city life and traffic. Thanks, Amy

This was one of the best VRBO experiences I've ever had. Heather and Jay are wonderful and made the stay perfect. The apartment was charming, spotless, and well stocked for cooking. Everything about it was perfect. The bed was the best ever! We bought fresh eggs from them and they were delicious. The area is a wonderful spot to get away and enjoy the quiet, farm life, and the cow, horses, and dogs. Just the best! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

My husband and I loved our time at Rustys loft. The loft was spotless and beautiful. The owners were very gracious and personable. Communication was impeccable. I enjoyed seeing the animals at the barn and hanging out my the pond. Great for birdwatching and just relaxing.

We had a lovely stay. Slept 5 perfectly. Perfect place to see the most beautiful sunrise. Was here for the meteor shower unexpectedly. It was a nice surprise. Perfect place to see them all. I was looking for a solo birthday trip and came across Rusty’s Loft. It sounded perfect based on the description/reviews and it was! I felt safe and relaxed at this property. Heather and Jay were amazing hosts and supplied me with eggs and some rhubarb. Don’t miss out on a golf cart tour and meeting all of the sweet animals!
