We were warmly greeted on arrival by wonderful bell staff and Ngoc Du and Ngoc Anh. We were impressed with their english skills and outstanding customer service. The bell boys were also responsive and helpful. We unfortunately had a noise issue to do with a large family staying in the room beside us. Manager Dzu promptly dealt with our complaint which was much appreciated. Dzu also greatly assisted us in booking transportation back to Hanoi. All round excellent service, and if the mist lifts at and around the hotel, you will also enjoy amazing views of the mountains. So its worth extra for a room with a view!

Sapa is beautiful. Bamboo hotel is good
We travelled to Bamboo hotel during a very low volume time. The hotel was beautiful however with very few guests some things were lacking. We were happy with our room but not happy that the balconies had no chairs to sit on. The pool also had no cushions on the few wicker chairs that were there and no loungers other than the stationary ones in the pool. The breakfasts were okay but the coffee was very disappointing. It was not ready at 7 am when we came down even though breakfast started at 6. When I inquired about coffee a sterno was lit and placed under the jug of yesterday’s coffee to reheat it. I did not have coffee. Overall the location is good and has shops and restaurants near it.

Decent stay
The staff was very nice and helpful as possible. We had a beautiful view and didn't have any issue with construction noise. We liked the location. The only issue was that we reserved a room for 3 adults. It was hard to tell from online what they'd actually be, but they appeared to be normal beds. One bed was a huge bed that was actually 2 double or queen beds put together, and wasn't very soft. The other bed was a rollaway twin that was extremely hard. We asked if the giant bed could be separated, but they said it couldn't. The situation would probably be fine for 2 adults and a child, but they'd benefit a lot more from having a room with two doubles than a giant bed like that, and more clear phrasing would help.

Nice view but pretty old hotel — needs remodeling
The room was spacious but very old with Uncomfortable mattress, staining pillows, staining towels and smelly sofas. Hotel was surrounded with multiple reconstruction sites that created noise from 6am everyday. The whole street was muddy due to light rain and construction. Traffic was really bad on this street. Breakfast was horrible. Overall, hotel room has spectacular view of the mountain but it is dirty, discomfort and very pricey.

Dirty and unkempt. Broken front entry steps.
No charm. Cold lobby where the staff and guests wear coats. Dirty walls in need of paint and cleaning. Plumbing problems in the bathroom with a flood every time water was turned on. In general the place is run on the cheap. Basically a budget hotel for the Chinese.

Wonderful Hotel with Stunning view
I stayed at the Suite room of this hotel. The room was too big for 2 persons to stay but it was good. The view of Sapa, hills and mountains, was splendid. (I frankly can advise that there might be lots of hotels with such a view). Breakfast was really good. After trekking in the day of check-out, I could use the room for shower with 3 USD. Staffs were really kind, even though some of them can not speak English.

Well priced
The staff at reception was great and happy to answers all of our questions. We were awoken quite early in the morning by banging and drilling going on in the room next door. Some of the maintenance staff tried to come into the room without knocking just using their swipe card lucky we had the door locked and even when we opened the door they gave no explanation of what they wanted they just walked away when they realised we were in there.

Avoid. Overpriced and rundown.
From start to finish this was the only disappointing hotel in our total stay in Vietnam. It was our wedding anniversary so I booked their 'best room' a suite with Jacuzzi. The room was large but poorly furnished and rundown. The Jacuzzi did not work and they wouldn't fix it. Their only offer was to move us to a lower grade room with no refund even though it was considerably cheaper room. We booked a late checkout and were told it would be at no charge. Then they tried to charge us an extra 50% day room rate and would not budge, so we had to checkout at normal time (inconvenient because we were trekking so wanted to shower before the bus back to Hanoi.) Our room had a second door straight out to the side street and it wouldn't secure properly so I ended up having to use cable ties to keep it closed!!! All in all the staff didn't care and were unhelpful. The breakfast was the worst we had in Vietnam and we had concerns around hygiene (and we've eaten every street food and in homestays so not easily phased.) I could go on, but will stop there. Needless to say take your money elsewhere is my advice.

Misleading photos and bad services
The hotel is misleading. Instead of staying at the main hotel with main entrance and lift, we were bought to another old building . We have to take stairs 2.5 storey to go to the room. No open window in room except for balcony door. No air con meaning we have to open the balcony door and thus reduce privacy as another building is near by. The price to pay for this was not worth it value. I have stay at hotel next door and was much better even the star rating is lower.

Bamboo Sapa Hotel
The staff at the Bamboo Sapa Hotel was great. They provided us a few tips and they were also quick to respond to any of our needs. We came a bit early, but had to wait for a few hours to check in. It wasn't a big deal, but if we had the room earlier, it would have been perfect.

Good hotel
Great stay overall. A few obstacles, including the paper thin walls where I heard the alarm about ten times before 7 a.m. Called to the front desk, but they did not do anything except just state that it is someone's alarm. Aside from that, the view was amazing and it was an overall nice stay. The staff was good and even brought me a fan when I had realized that I had booked a room without A/C.

hotel was nice. Breakfast could use a little more variety. Rooms were a little run down but still very good for the price paid. Great location. Friendly staff, Only bad point i can say is the bed was not comfortable at all. Other than that we would stay again.

Great balcony views and spacious room
We enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo. We thought it was very good value. The standard double room that we booked was a generous size and the views from the balcony over the valley were wonderful. It could have done with a couple of chairs, even plastic ones, on the balcony... But we were able to open up the windows and sit inside and still enjoy the view. My partner enjoyed the breakfast buffet and I thought it was reasonable, and again - probably quite good value given the room rate. Service was good, although we've noticed in Vietnam that the daily room service does not amount to much more than smoothing over the bed and changing the towels. Sweeping the floor and plumping the pillows should be added. Also, hotels should give customers the option to use the same towels for a few days instead of replacing them daily. This saves water, which is good for the environment and local water catchment system, and would save the hotels money. Win-win! Overall, great place and we would recommend staying here.

Bamboo hotel
The hotel was pretty nice, the staff were decent. Nothing to complain about, the hotel does really have pretty amazing views. I really liked that the hotel was just a little down the road from the main part of town, so its a little more quiet, also the restaurants across the street were really good.

Great views and service
The hotel was very comfortable and satisfied all our needs. The service was really good and they got our room ready early as well as an upgrade. The room was very large and the views from the balcony were just what dreams are made of, the buffet breakfast was first class a mixture of Asian and western food. The only thing I can say on a negative note were the large numbers of minority women and girls at the door pestering all arrivals to buy their goods, when you said no they were very rude and used rude language. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Sapa.

Uncooperative staff, not the room we booked
Good location, close to restaurants and shopping...the staff is very uncooperative when it comesntontequests...beware, this hotel over books itself and will not always have the room you thought you were booking and they don't want to acknowledge or honor your booking details. The sink pipes in the bathroom leaked badly and flooded the bathroom floor...repairman came and tried to fix, but left after he couldn't and never came back...great views from the mountain side...horrendously noisy on the street side...horns horns horns and more horns...and there's a bar directly across the street that blasts music until around 11pm and then after 11pm they just turn down half way...still too loud if you're trying to sleep.
