Worse experience ever !
My husband had an issue with the night auditor named Christian on Saturday morning around 5am, the mattress on our bed was extremely uncomfortable, there was no support and when I mentioned it to the front desk, I was told they couldnt move me to another room because my reservation was locked by Expedia.com. I asked if the mattress could be switched out and Melissa assured me that thw maintenance man would swap it out while were gone for the day and it wasn't. When I asked why no one could call and tell me, there was no answer. I sent an email to the assistant manager Natasha on Sunday about the issue, we had a total of 6 hours of sleep all weekend. We decided to leave at 3am this morning because we coulsnt sleep; and we were woken up by the person across the hall who put a crunched up beer can in our door handle. While we were leaving, the gentlemen proceeded to harass us to the point that we needed to call the front desk and then the cops. Once we got home today, I CALLED Natasha because I had not heard a response from her and after having a chat with her, she proceeded to state that she never had a problem with the man across the hall from us before and that maybe WE were the issue. I was also told by her that she had instructed her staff to ler us know that we could check out early without being penalized, HOWEVER NO OME TOLD US THAT. We absolutely would have left early. Overall I am so disappointed, and our Christmas vacation was ruined by this whole experience.

Pleasantly surprised. It was our first stay ay any Larkspur property. The breakfast, while not a full breakfast, was more than satisfactory. Polite staff, clean hotel. We will book this one again,

After looking at a LOT of places we chose this hotel so we could have my mom (a local) over and spend time with her and celebrate Christmas a little early. We are just far enough away that a day trip isn’t possible and she rents a room from a friend. I’ve had a good amount of bad experiences even with highly rated hotels. So if you’re on the fence, book this hotel! When I walked in the hotel smelled BEAUTIFUL. I’ve never experienced that. Only harsh cleaner smell covering up funk or old musty smells or nothing. But the warm and simply decorated environment plus the warm front desk staff was already a 5 star experience. I think they even upgraded our room to a Grand suite with a balcony for free. It was rainy otherwise I would have used it. The room was super clean and had tons of space for us to hang out and spend quality time together. I made sides for a small Christmas dinner in the kitchen which had its own little alcove. Sleeping was quiet and the beds are a bit old and soft. Still, I slept and didn’t wake in pain. The only downside was the bathroom walls were very dirty; they need a new coat of paint. Shower had tons of cobwebs on the ceiling and the conditioner was empty. Breakfast was continental but not careless. Everything was neatly laid out and clean and I was surprised by the amount of options in their little fridge like different cream cheeses, cottage cheese, a breakfast sandwich and tomato juice.

Large clean room with comfortable bed and great pillows. Very good access to shopping ( huge outlet mall) and to the trail along the American River. Also very close to Historic Downtown Folsom. We will definitely stay here again

A little dated, could use some upgrading...for example, the breakfast area was basically the former office/computer station section, so seating was not well set up. Rooms were clean and OK, but could hear the neighbors through the walls.

I stayed three nights in November 2024. The property is in great condition and clean. My only complaint is the parking lot is only laid out, which limits the way in and one to one way. Getting in and out of the parking lot is awkward with poor views of oncoming traffic.
