Charming old mill nestled in the Burgundy countryside

One of a kind old countryhouse in a beautiful lush setting and great view, 10 minutes walk from a village with tennis courts, swimming pool and great local shops.

La Tour" is a little out of time for a stay in the French countryside... while still being close to a pretty village !

The ground floor features a living room with sofa bed, and an adjoining kitchen/dining room with bay window and countryside views.

On the 1st floor, a large bedroom opens onto the 2nd floor, where you'll find the bathroom and toilet, and a dressing room.

Please note that the house has a quite a steep staircase (with railing). You have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Pets are welcome, but please note that the grounds are not fully fenced.

The village is 1 km away, about a 10-minute walk.
There's a bakery, a café-bar, a restaurant, a supermarket with petrol station, and a farmers' market on Mondays.

As for sports, the swimming pool is open in summer (25m and paddling pool + play area), and there are 2 very recent tennis courts (quick), a city stadium and a play area for young children.

In the region, you'll find numerous ponds for summer swimming: Etang du Merle 25 minutes away, Etang de la Machine (with sandy beach) 20 minutes away, Etangs de Baye 40 minutes away, Lac de Pannecière 45 minutes away, Lac des Settons 60 minutes away. Great walks in the Morvan.

Visits to the Pouilly and Sancerre sur Loire wine cellars less than an hour away.

Superb accrobranche (zip lining) 20 minutes away (Sauvigny les Bois), indoor swimming pool 20km (Nevers), go-karting at Magny-Cours. Kayak and bike rides along the Loire at Nevers.

Such a perfect place to stay
The mill was everything we expected and is just so beautiful . The gardens were perfect for our little dog to explore. The host Leopoldine was extremely friendly and helpful and speaks very good English , and was great at recommending places to eat .

Peaceful country location
The tower has beautiful views of the countryside. Sitting in the garden in peaceful and has lots of shade. The local municipal swimming pool is really nearby, of a high standard, with loungers as well. The property is ideal if you want a peaceful time away. It is not a touristy area. It is necessary to drive to get to restaurants, but there is a supermarket close by.

Quiet place to relax
We spent a peaceful week in this tower. Mara the dog loved the large lawn, we loved the A/C, as it was a pretty hot week. The landlady Leopoldine was exceptinally friendly and welcoming. The accomodation is fully equipped with notbing amiss.

Super à tous les niveaux
Accueil chaleureux. Hôte aimable et dispo. Le lieu est reposant (mais pas mal de circulation et surtout vite mais en partie fermé) Nous étions 2 adultes et 2 grands chiens. Tout est fait pour s'y sentir bien. L'aménagement du moulin est bien pensé et avec goût. Les petites attentions à l'arrivée sont un plus ... je ne peux que recommander cet endroit.

La tour est une habitation originale et fort sympathique pour un séjour. Nous avons passé 4 jours avec nos filles de 1 et 4 ans dans ce lieu charmant et convivial. Le fait d’être isolé rend le lieu reposant et calme. Un grand merci à Mme Noël et Léopoldine pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité.

Peaceful Stay in Burgundy
A cosy old mill with an entchanting tower overlooking acres of sunflower fields in bloom. La Tour is the perfect place for a truly relaxing stay. The building is secluded and quiet but nevertheless a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, hairdresser, post office and two cafés are within reach by car in 5-10 minutes. Leopoldine offered a warm welcome and was dedicated to ensure I had a great stay! Thank you very much and hopefully "Au revoir!"
