Not a quiet night
The staff were absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was lovely as were the staff attending it. The hotel was clean and the room was beautiful. UNFORTUNATELY, we asked for a quiet room and were told we were given one. But in actuality we were put in between timbit hockey teams all on the same floor. There was a fight in the hallway between 2 drunk parents at 2am, I had to ask the family of 4 children under 5 who were staying beside us with both parents to stop screaming at 10pm as my 2 children were trying to sleep. The mother was less then friendly despite me asking very politely and she did confirm the number of children present and their ages as retaliation when I explained I had 2 children sleeping next door. I had to go back out at midnight and ask another family to keep their kids from screaming in the hallway and called the front desk at this point where the line just rang and rang and rang. Then at 230am the family upstairs started jumping up and down at which point I called the front desk for help again and they did answer. I think the staff were overworked in regards to settling people down. I think when you promise family a quiet night on a quiet floor, you should make sure the other families are warned when they check in if they are excessive they could be asked to leave. My husband and I slept for 3 hours, thankfully my kids slept soundly because we turned the white noise app up to loud on both of our phones and put on either side of them.
