ST LAURENT MEDOC, 15 mm from the beaches of Hourtin lake and sea, 40 mm from BORDEAUX city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We are located in the heart of the MĆ©doc and its prestigious castles, the surf spot No. 1 Medoc 'Plage du Piin Sec' is 20 nm drive.
The equillaire center of 'Marcillan' a few minutes will welcome the possible riders.
We propose you to reside in a beautiful stone house of 220 m2 on 3 hectares of which 5 000 m2 of park. In a country atmosphere.
The property is equipped with a 12X6 salt heated swimming pool surrounded by a terrace of 80 m2.
You can lunch under the trees at noon and you will have a terrace to dine away from the dampness of the evening.
A large plancha will embellish your barbeccus.
You also have the possibility to consume fruits and vegetables from our vegetable garden (tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, eggplant, salads, herbs .....), against a slight daily watering.
You can also pick fresh eggs daily.
We welcome horses, donkeys and cats on the property, you can go see them, they are very nice, still keep a close eye on your children.
Our house is completely and perfectly equipped:
In the rez of putting on a kitchen dining room of 45 M2 this space extends in our stay of 60 m2, all the modern equipments are at your disposal (flat screen, home cinema, hi-fi chain ...).
Our living room is framed by a large mezzanine, equipped with a TV area, game, video, games console, for the youngest, an extra bed of 2 places is at your disposal. On the opposite side an office for the big ones, the house is equipped with a live box for your computers.
At night, 1 master suite with bathroom on the ground floor, upstairs, 2 large bedrooms, a smaller one and a large bathroom.
Our house is located 100 m from a street ending in impasse, absolute calm guaranteed for nights full of tranquility.

Holiday tainted
The house is lovely and in a beautiful area but has not really been set up for renting. The communication from the owner was poor, with no communication until just before arriving, and no instructions left for running the house. This then became an issue when we left. We had put all the recycling in the bins at the end of the drive. There was no bin or area for glass so we created a box with glass bottles in. This was then raised as an issue when we left, plus we were charged an additional Ā£83 for replacing bedlinen (which was apparently stained but no photo evidence was sent through to prove this, despite requesting this.) We were also not warned that we would have to feed their cats and have them live in the house. The cats liked to jump on the beds and sleep with us, which frightened the children. We tried keeping the cats out at night, but they meowed and woke us up. So, if you do stay you should note that the cats live in the house. Overall, we had a good stay as the area is beautiful, the house is peaceful and the pool is very well maintained. But our stay was left tainted by the cats, the poor communication and the excessive undeserved charge at the end.

A genuine French farmhouse in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards.
A very charming farmhouse that felt like home from home. It is an ideal location for all ages and with temperatures up to 40 degrees the house remained cool and the pool temperature perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house held real charm with the chickens, a horse a donkey and three cats who were very tolerant of our playful husky. The gardens are expansive with lots of fruit trees. It is only a short drive to the local good quality supermarket and boulangerie, and to the coast or Gironde estuary. For wine lovers there is an endless selection of quality vineyards within easy driving distance. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this beautiful French farmhouse and we hope to visit again soon.

House ok but dirty and cats!
3 cats living there hat we were unaware of. No washing machine for first week until owners bought a new one that I had to install. Someone came to eh house everyday and let them self in regardless if we were there or not. Strange pipe in swimming pool that kept coming of. No towels provided. Bathrooms unfinished and floor just chip board. No internet capability and no 3G. Location great apart from neighbours dogs that bark relentlessly. Bearing in mind the cost, we did not feel the house had enough quality to justify the price, perhaps when it has been refurbished and the works finished it will be better. Area fantastic and we will revisit but choose our holiday house more carefully.

Mutwilliger Betrug
Als wir ankamen, hatte der Vermieter die Anlage mutwillig doppelt vermietet. Es war bereits eine andere Familie vor Ort, wir standen plƶtzlich ohne Unterkunft da, die ersten zwei Urlaubstage daraufhin im Eimer ā€¦ Als wir versuchten ihn telefonisch zu erreichen war er natĆ¼rlich nicht mehr erreichbar. Erst von FEWO erfuhren wir die Sachlage. Der Vermieter versuchte mit diesem Vorgehen darauf zu pokern, dass ein Mieter spontan absagen wĆ¼rde um so die Einnahmen von beiden Mietern behalten zu kƶnnen. Ich betone es nochmals: Mutwilliger Betrug. Bitte nicht buchen!

Landelijk gelegen, ruim familiehuis met zwembad.
Prettig verblijf op een wat afgelegen locatie met zwembad. Dieren op en rondom het erf te verzorgen. Dat was leuk voor de kinderen. Afstand tot de stranden 35-50 minuten. In de directe omgeving weinig vertier. Maar al met al genoten.

A beautiful house in a gorgeous garden!
We spent two weeks in this wonderful house - two families with kids from 12 to 17. The house offers a lot of space and besides the rooms for sleeping it has a spacious living room and a huge kitchen with everything we needed. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous! The garden is full of wonderful plants, flowers, herbs and fruits. There is plenty of space around the house, the neighbors pretty far away, so you nearly feel like being in the middle of the landscape. The place of the pool and the pool itself are just perfect. No plastic furniture outside, we appreciated this very much! Everything is chosen very personal and special. And we enjoyed the animals so much! For example we learnt a lot about how smart a donkey can be! The communication with Isabelle and Franck was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for everything, we hope we can come back! Un agrƩable sƩjour dans le mƩdoc
Nous avons passĆ© un superbe sĆ©jour Ć  7 dans la propriĆ©tĆ© bien entretenue de Franck. Les enfants (12, 14 et 15 ans) ont particuliĆØrement apprĆ©ciĆ© la prĆ©sence des chats, du cheval et de lā€™Ć¢nesse. Nous avons eu de la chance avec le temps. Il a fait mĆŖme chaud (jusquā€™Ć  35 degrĆ©s), nous avons donc profitĆ© pleinement de la grande piscine. La maison est grande et reste fraĆ®che par chaleur. La proximitĆ© avec le lac de Hourtin, la cĆ“te atlantique et Bordeaux est parfaite pour faire des sorties. Nous recommandons vivement cette propriĆ©tĆ©! Merci Ć  Franck et Ć  sa famille.

Nous avons passĆ© un superbe sĆ©jour dans cette propriĆ©tĆ©: - trĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e: salles de bain neuves/rĆ©novĆ©es, cuisine trĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e, piscine chauffĆ©e tout confort, mobilier en suffisance, appareils multimĆ©dias de haute qualitĆ© - ayant du charme: mur en pierre donnant un cachet spĆ©cifique Ć  la rĆ©gion (l'apĆ©ro le soleil couchant est superbe), dĆ©coration intĆ©rieure effectuĆ©e avec goĆ»t mĆŖlant moderne et rustique - situĆ©e en plein cœur du mĆ©doc: proche de lā€™ocean, ses plages et activitĆ©s nautiques mais aussi de la myriade de chĆ¢teaux qui raviront les œnologues - en pleine nature: un Ć¢ne, un cheval, 2 poules et 2 adorables chats raviront les enfants et les amoureux de la nature sans pour autant causer de dĆ©sagrĆ©ments (seuls les chats sont Ć  nourrir 1 fois par jour -> une immense joie pour mon fils de 6 ans :-). Un verger et un potager sont Ć©galement Ć  disposition ! Si je devais ne serait-ce que notifier un point dā€™amelioration pour les futurs locataires: lā€™emplacement des chats Ć  cĆ“tĆ© de la chambre au rez-de-chaussĆ©e (qui est superbe) pourrait incommoder le locataire au niveau des allergĆØnes et du bruit. Ɖtant venus Ć  6, nous nā€™avons pas eu besoin de lā€™utiliser mais prĆ©voir une chatiĆØre dans la buanderie serait un plus selon nous. Bref, ce point de dĆ©tail nā€™a en rien impactĆ© notre sĆ©jour et nous sommes certains que cette propriĆ©tĆ© ravira Ć  coup sĆ»r ses futurs locataires... Les propriĆ©taires ont eu la gentillesse de nous accueillir dans leur charmante demeure aux dimensions gĆ©nĆ©reuses et Ć  lā€™environnement calme et reposant. Toute la famille a apprĆ©ciĆ© Ć  sa juste valeur ce moment de repos et de sĆ©rĆ©nitĆ© dans cette maison oĆ¹ lā€™on sā€™est immĆ©diatement senti comme chez nous. Les plus jeunes ont apprĆ©ciĆ© la prĆ©sence de Fripouille et Icare les deux adorables chats, les ados se sont rĆ©galĆ©s dans la trĆØs grande piscine tandis que les parents ont profitĆ© des transats et des belles soirĆ©es dā€™Ć©tĆ© sur la terrasse. Nous Ć©tions 4 adultes et 3 enfants - La maison est trĆØs spacieuse et ouverte sur l'immense parc / jardin qui l'entoure, le calme assurĆ© Ć  moins de 10 minutes de Saint Laurent MĆ©doc oĆ¹ l'on trouve tout ce qu'il faut pour faire les emplettes. La maison mĆŖle charme typique Ć  rĆ©novation confortable (cuisine et 2 salles de bain du bas). La piscine et ses chaises longues ont ravi grands et petits (elle est entretenue par les propriĆ©taires qui passent tous les 2-3 jours contrĆ“ler la qualitĆ© de l'eau). Les animaux; l'Ć¢ne Reglisse, les 3 poules qui fournissent des oeufs quotidien, le coq et les chats qui se baladent tout autours de la maison ajoutent une note sympathique au cadre (attention toutefois aux personnes trĆØs allergiques aux poils d'animaux qui pourraient ĆŖtre incommodĆ©es). Enfin Franck et Isabelle les propriĆ©taires, sont trĆØs amicaux, serviables, et plein de bon tuyaux concernant la rĆ©gion; nous les remercions pour leur accueil chaleureux dans cette belle et grande maison!

SĆ©jour merveilleux pour adultes et enfants dans cette trĆØs belle maison.
Nous avons passĆ© 3 semaines dans cette propriĆ©tĆ©. Il y a tout, une belle espace Ć  l'intĆ©rieur, un trĆØs grand et beau terrain avec poules (chasse aux oeufs tous les matins pour les enfants), chats et chevaux Ć  cĆ“tĆ© et en plus une belle et grande piscine chauffĆ©e. Nous Ć©tions nombreux et tout le monde a adorĆ© le lieu, facile d'accĆØs, au calme mais trĆØs bien situĆ© prĆØs des plages et du village pour les courses. Le jardin est trĆØs grand est permet au enfants de s'y dĆ©fouler. La maison a beaucoup de cacher et est trĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e avec une trĆØs grande plancha et une cuisine trĆØs fonctionnelle. Nous avons pu profiter des animaux de la maison et lĆ  encore ce n'Ć©tait que du plaisir. Sa situation permet de profiter d'une partie du vignoble bordelais et avons pu faire de belles rencontres dont le chĆ¢teau Julia. Merci encore pour votre jardin potager que vous avez mis Ć  notre disposition pendant notre sĆ©jour ainsi que votre verger : manger les haricots frais que l'on ramassĆ©s n'a pas de prix ! SĆ©jour idyllique !
Nous avons passĆ© un excellent sĆ©jour dans cette trĆØs belle maison. La maison est trĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e et trĆØs agrĆ©able Ć  vivre. L'immense jardin, le potager, les animaux (chevaux, Ć¢ne, poules, chats), la superbe piscine et les jeux d'enfants en font un lieu de vacances idyllique pour petits et grands. La maison est idĆ©alement situĆ©e en plein coeur de la belle rĆ©gion du MĆ©doc et Ć  20min de la plage. Je recommande fortement !
