The exhibition and the large windows allow to have the sun all day. sun terrace and lovely garden. The set is closed. The house is located close to the sandy beach about 50 meters.

Great location
We were delighted by the quiet street about 50 yards from an entrance to Utah Beach. The Museum is wothin walking distance both on the street and via the Beach itself. Enjoyed the backyard deck in the evening. A truly wonderful experience throughout our 5 day stay.

Perfect
This is a lovely accomodation on a peaceful, private lane by a beautiful sandy beach. We had such a warm welcome from Anne-Marie taking time to show us around the property. There was a lovely Welcome pack for us to enjoy after travelling, including a delicious homemade cake. The property was very well laid out for a family, feeling spacious and very clean. Thankyou for our 3 night stay, we wished it was longer.

Superb! Highly recommend!
We have just returned from Utah Beach after a really lovely holiday. Thank you to Anne Marie for allowing us to rent her beautiful and very well equipped home. Anne Marie was very kind to us. She contacted us the day before we arrived and kept in touch during our journey down. She was very accommodating when we were delayed. We loved the homemade cake and the fruit and food we found in the fridge. She gave us a very detailed folder with all the useful information together with leaflets of things to do and places to see. The proximity to the beach was perfect and on the right side of the road too. If you had been in a property overlooking the sea you would not have enjoyed the lovely sunshine in the garden during the day. The garden is very private with lots of seating and a nice big table. We enjoyed a couple of barbecues. The walk across the road to the beach was just wonderful and when we reached the sand dune it was breath taking! Also very poignant to think what the beach looked like on 6th June 1944! The Museum nearby was very interesting and informative. We spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around. The Brasserie was ok too. We walked there one late afternoon and enjoyed an omelette and frites. Most of the time we were happy to cook in the Gite. We shopped at the Super U in St Marie Eglise. Closed Sundays. The local bakery was open in the morning, although was closed Wednesday morning but the campsite nearby has a shop and we were able to buy some lovely bread there. We also bought some amazing sausages from Mr Willy the village butcher! We found the Gite to be perfect for driving out to Bayeux, Arromanches and surrounding coastal villages. Anne Marie - Merci Beaucoup!! Just wonderful and we will certainly visit again.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!
This property is the PERFECT location on the Utah beach section of the Normandy coast for a stay. It is steps from the beach and the proprietor has gone to great lengths to ensure the house has everything needed for a perfect stay. She even made sure that we had fresh French baguette and a homemade cake ! Communication was excellent as well. It is convenient to town and easy to get to.

Great home base to tour Normandy!
You are literally steps away from the beach. The Utah Beach Landing museum and memorial is 5-6 minute walk. We thought it was one of the better museums and has a great video/film too. It's a great way to start your Normandy trip. Anne Marie was an excellent host. We loved our stay there. She even baked us a cake and had some bread, cheese, and apple cider ready for us when we arrived. Spent 3 nights there. We had a family of 5 with three children. There is a fold-away bed in 2nd bedroom which allowed each kid to have their own bed. There was a nice garden area. We had everything we needed. Would definitely return!!

First class accomodation with exceptional facilities
The villa occupies a secluded position just behind Utah Beach. Inside Anne-Marie has thought of everything you are likely to need or wish for. On welcoming us to her property, we were presented with a home-made cake, local wine and cider together with the basic necessities to get us started. At the outset, it became clear that Anne-Marie is a very special person who cares about her guests. We were lucky to have a week of good weather and enjoyed the BBQ and garden as well as the well appointed facilities within. Many thanks, Anne-Marie..

Wonderful!!
This seaside villa was just perfect for our vacation to Normandy! The house was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped, and Anne-Marie is a warm and delightful hostess. The delicious homemade cake and treats that she had waiting for us made us feel very welcome. The location on Utah Beach is spectacular. We really enjoyed the sense of history there and walking on the beach. The surrounding area is so peaceful and beautiful with cows and horses to admire. We enjoyed every minute & will cherish our memories.

Tranquility in Normandy!

Well kept and great location
Anne-Marie is very sweet and really makes a point to make you comfortable. She met our tour guide and showed her how to find us as the private guide we hired did not have GPS. We easily found the home with our GPS/phone so finding it is not a problem:-). We enjoyed the quietness after being in Paris. Also, it is a great location for exploring the entire region. We will return for sure.

Beautiful house, beautiful beach
We had a great stay at this lovely home steps from Utah Beach. We only had a couple of days there, it was a great spot to see the d-day landing beaches. The house had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. Anne-marie was a very kind host who made sure we were comfortable and had access to everything we might need. She even baked us a cake! I wish we had more time to enjoy the beach and cute little town. Next time!

The Ideal Family Property Close To The Beach
Having been a regular visitor to Normandy for the past 15 years I knew the area well, so i was really excited to come across this property that gave the opportunity to stay on Utah Beach. We took our 2 year old daughter for her first trip to Normandy, the house was perfect for her as the layout was set on one level, the garden was completely enclosed and the amazing electric shutters on the windows created complete darkness for her to sleep. The house itself was very fresh and modern, with the kitchen having just about everything needed for any budding cooks. The bathrooms were particularly nice with the highlight for me being the walk in shower which was great to unwind in after a long hot day exploring. The property is set on a private road so no through traffic, the proximity to the beach was perfect with a pathway 20 meters away from the house. This pathway lead right onto the most perfect quiet sandy beach and for all you D-Day fans out there to a part of the beach that was actually used during D-Day. The owners of the house actually met us and introduced us to the property which was a nice touch, they were very friendly and helpful and yes the rumours are true Cake is involved... They have clearly taken the time to decorate the house tastefully for its surroundings and to a very high standard. We would thoroughly recommend this property and we will certainly return on our next visit to the area.

Home Away From Home
We would highly recommend this property. It was perfect for our D-day anniversary visit. We could walk to Utah Beach museum and every other site was nearby. The gite has everything needed and more. It it bright and airy and was a joy to return to each evening. It has safe parking for a rental car which was a plus for us. The owner is very welcoming and left goodies for our use. That too was a plus since we were very tired from flight and drive from Paris. At the end of the week we were sorry to leave.

Lovely villa in an evocative location
Anne-Marie's property was beautifully decorated, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there - even beach towels - and a generous food and drink welcome pack which included a lovely home made cake. The location of the property is unique - we felt transported back in time - lots of WW2 references in the beautiful village of Ste Marie du Mont and then there is the thought provoking Utah Beach museum and the magnificent Utah Beach itself. We very highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful cottage in historic area.
We are two couples who enjoyed a delightful four nights in this carefully maintained and fully equipped house. With a beautiful garden area and deck off the back of the living room, there were plentiful areas to relax. One minutes over a dune to the expansive Utah Beach provides a great place to walk, run or just stare at the ocean. The house is a 10 minute walk to a great museum about the D Day landing. In fact, it is also 12 km. from St Mere d'Eglise, an important sit in the DDay landing, and a tremendous museum about the airborne troops who landed, fought and died here. Other sites are within a couple of hours. Bayeaux, a beautiful old city, is an easy 50 minute drive. After touring each day, the house was always welcoming. Our host, Anne-Marie, welcomed us with a fresh baked cake. She was readily available by telephone or to come by if there were any problems. We all really loved this place, and we recommend it highly.

An absolutely wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay here - the cottage and its grounds were so charming and, along with the location so close to the beach, made our week so relaxing and enjoyable. Anne-Marie is an exceptionally gracious and generous host and we appreciated everything she's done to make her guests' stay comfortable. It was the perfect place for us to not only relax but also serve as our "home base" for day trips around Normandy. We would absolutely return if we have the opportunity!

Beautifully presented holiday home.
We have just returned from a lovely few days in Normandy, staying in Anne-Marie's fantastic little house. We couldn't have wished for better, we were welcomed by Anne-Marie who showed us around, She even baked us a cake! Everything about the accommodation was of very good guality and spotlessly clean. Utah beach was a few metres away over the dunes and only a short walk from the d-day museum. All in all a perfect base to explore this part of Normandy.

Beautiful
This little cottage is beautiful. One house away from Utah Beach. I wish we could have spent more time there and enjoyed the beach and the cottage. The weather wasn't great, but it is February. I would stay here again if I get the chance to come back. Loved that it was so close to so many WWII history sites. I learned a great deal about D-day. Thank you Anne-Marie for taking such good care of us.

Entspannter Urlaub in einem tollen Ferienhaus
In der Beschreibung des Ferienhauses war alles enthalten, was wir vor Ort vorgefunden haben. Auch die Bilder des Hauses sind sehr aussagekräftig. Lediglich das Internet mit nur 0,8 Mbps hätte besser sein können. Bei unserer Ankunft hat uns Anne-Marie alles rund ums Haus gezeigt und erklärt sowie zahlreiche Ausflugstipps gegeben. Da unsere Französisch-Kenntnisse nur spärlich sind, haben wir uns in einer Mischung aus Englisch und Französisch verständigt, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Alles in Allem haben wir - auch dank des nahegelegenen Strandes - einen wunderbaren Urlaub genossen.

Maison Utah Beach
Superbe maison, agréable, on s'y sent bien. Très bien équipée. A proximité de musées, bunkers, batteries.... idéal pour découvrir le débarquement. Plage magnifique à proximité. Sans oublier un charmant accueil avec beaucoup de conseils....et des petits présents qui mettent la cerise sur le gâteau ! Nous reviendrons.
