The Grand Hotel Salem is Grand
The Grand Hotel is just that. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The rooms well appointed and the location second to none. Every time we visit Salem we stay at the Grand as first choice. Very disappointed with any of their competitors. We have traveled extensively and noplace have we found a better complimentary breakfast. Itā€™s remarkable.

The road noise was horrible and the group above us were extremely loud. Kids left unattended obviously and up until 1am and at it again a 6am. Put kids on the ground floor! Service and staff were great.

I was traveling alone, which I don't do often. I felt totally comfortable, safe and even a little pampered. Mostly just a really nice stay. I went down to to the restaurant and sat at the bar for a beer and some soup and it was great.

Stately downtown hotel with full amenities.
Downtown Salem, adjouning conference center. Upscale full service hotel, inhouse restaurant. Walking distance from fine dining. The included breakfast was ample, but did not dazzle. A nice place to stay, but twice the price of other newer hotels in Salem. LOCATION is excellent for downtown or State Capitol business, and if attending a conference.
