I booked this property so I could have a good night sleep away from the noise of Edinburgh Airport as I had a very early morning flight back to Australia. I was unable to sleep due to loud music and other sounds of like people moving furniture around. Around 10.00pm I became very frustrated with the noise and called reception. A gentle arrived at my door to address my concerns. His response was ‘It’s Saturday Night Madam and we have the Bar and Grill’ so in other words the Hotel knew of this noise problem and I would just have to put up with it. I cannot understand why I was placed in a room directly above this bar. The cost of this room was very substantial when converted back to Australian dollars. I feel I am entitled to a refund as I had no sleep whatsoever.

I booked this last minute and am pleased. There is a bus stop right across the street and a store next door. The hotel is amazing but the restaurant and bar are on the expensive side.

Very nice upscale hotel but about a $28 pound taxi ride away from Edinburgh Airport. Expedia led us to believe that a free airport shuttle is available 7 days per week but in fact it’s not available on weekends. Remember M-F to book directly for the free shuttle. Food in restaurant is really good, with elevated prices to go along with the good food! Lounge area is very relaxed and comfortable. FYI, not associated with the hotel BUT, don’t bother booking a rental car with Hertz at the Edinburgh Airport, as that experience was absolutely horrible (do yourself a favor and check online reviews for Hertz at that location!
