The property was in a convenient area and reasonably quiet except for the creaky floors. People walking in the hallway made it noisy because of the creaking floors and doors banging. The first night we had a shower the hot went cold and then the shower stopped altogether. (2 night stay)The ceilings had flaking paint. Not a good impression at all. On checkout I complained once again and was eventually given a discount. Breakfast was good.

Great experience in a cozy hotel with yummy food.
Hotel and rooms were super comfortable and warm. We greatly enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and hanging in the restaurant pub for a pint or dinner. It was a bit on the noisier side than other places we stayed but it was St. Patrick Day's weekend. All in all it was in a good location to quickly get to things - we got to the Blackless castle in about 15mins and to Glasgow for the afternoon in about 40mins. We got to the airport the day of our stay in about 20mins. Very convenient. This place was also super dog friendly! I loved seeing all of the pooches in the pub and hotel. Made my day :) Again - heads up on folks with heavy big suitcases - no lifts here so be prepared to lift :)

Great for what I needed
I was staying for a 2 day business stay so this made the perfect hub for me. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly, the room was fine for its purpose, bed was comfy, room is spacious. Hot water takes an absolute age to come through to the point I nearly gave up, Netflix didn’t work but other channels did (the remote has a Netflix button which I thought was a nice touch but it wouldn’t connect so Freeview it was!). Would I stay again? Yes I would, it was what I needed at a great price.
