Terrible service. The AC pumps out heat when set to COLD. Experience: Their gym equipment is broken and seemed for a while, but when I brought it up to them, they all chuckled and said they’d have the maintenance guy look at it in 5min after his breakfast. It gets worse. I had to come downstairs a few times and he was still eating breakfast so couldn't help me. 30min later, after heavily insisting, he said he’d have his ‘guy’ look at it. When I brought it up again to him the next day, it was as if it was the 1st time he had heard about my issue. Looked at the equipment and pretended he didn’t know it was broken. Anyway, I gave up and checked out early. Summary: horrible service.

The hotel is only a few minutes away from SLC Airport, which is why I picked it due to a late night arrival. I also like its breakfast which offers a good variety of options. But I feel the hotel needs some major upgrades to its facilities and amenities. The elevator broke down a few times and my room key didn't work on my last day there. Also the room doesn't have enough lighting.

We were in room 207. There was a light pole outside the window that must have been using high power halogen light bulbs. The curtain on the window did not adequately block that light. Subsequently, we did not get a very good night’s sleep. ALSO: the airport shuttle driver was not at work on time for our 4:30 AM trip to the airport. We had to get an Uber. The desk clerk said we would be reimbursed for that expense. That remains to be seen at this point. Very disappointing experience, since we have always been very satisfied with LaQuinta in the past.

We were amazed by the customer service that we experienced during our stay. Justin at the front desk was awesome, he went above and beyond to make our stay great, even gave recommendations for dinner. The pool and hot tub were great after a couple weeks of hiking. Usually I expect an "airport hotel" to be poorly managed and in bad shape and was pleasantly surprised. Thank you!
