Like - Crew - Room - Food / beverages (for cocktails they should have low sugar options, food - it would be nice to mark dairy/gluten free food for persons with intolerances/allergies) - beach Not so nice - sometimes music was too loud and not in my taste - they tried hard to sell club thing for 14k USD (this felt like being interrogated hahahaha) - seldom power cuts - guess this was because they used makeshift extension leads outside (made from wall sockets and wall boxes without protection against water ingress)

This is my 4th time in DR but first time in la samana and first time at this resort. The food being subpar is an understatement, even in the restaurants. I was served a lobster on NYE and it was half raw, Eggs were gross, and all meats were over cooked. Some staff were nice others were plain rude and couldn’t care less to our needs. The pool was cold, the “hot tub” was cold too. We upgraded to a bungalo for a private pool, but we got a cockroach, dozens of centipedes, and a cold plunge pool and a cold shower. The ran out of towels daily too. Lastly and almost most importantly, they don’t have an area for indoor events so the music even across the resort was so loud I felt like my room was shaking. Made the best out of it, but definitely won’t be returning.

This was one of my worst experiences in my entire life and I have traveled over 18 countries. No service whatsoever they try to sell you their viva membership constantly harassing you., I am seeking an attorney. I had no running water for two days. I had to leave the hotel without a shower and traveled the whole day to get to my next destination. Sad part is no one really cares. Stay away as far as you can from this place it is a nightmare and a disaster. I will be seeking a full refund.

Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended We recently spent 16 days at this resort, and unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. While there were a few positives, poor management and avoidable issues overshadowed our experience. Food Quality & Safety: The food was below average, with very limited options. Despite requesting no pork due to dietary restrictions, pork still ended up on our plates. Mislabeled buffet dishes presented a serious health hazard, particularly for those with allergies. Staff & Service: The front desk staff were unhelpful, condescending, and lacked basic hospitality. No one welcomed us upon arrival or asked about our stay during checkout. Most staff spoke no English, creating a significant communication barrier. Many appeared overworked, tired, and borderline rude, though the cleaning staff were a standout—always smiling, helpful, and pleasant. Facilities & Power Outages: The constant power cuts were the biggest frustration. Outages happened multiple times daily, leaving us without Wi-Fi, lights, TV, or running water. After returning from safari excursions, we couldn’t even shower—completely unacceptable. Highlights: The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The animation team was fun, with a great Lion King show. The location is another plus, with beaches and restaurants just a 15-minute drive away. Resort has potential, but the lack of training and management issues ruin the experience.Until improvements are made hard to recommen

The food and customer service were excellent, but our stay was overshadowed by high-pressure membership sales, which made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, our room had no water in the shower upon arrival, the phone was non-functional, and the electricity kept cutting out at night. These issues left a negative impression on what could have been an enjoyable experience.

It's my third time on this property on 2024, I guess you can imagine how much I like this place. They make you feel like family and taking into consideration it's not a huge property you end knowing everybody. The food is good and this time I noticed great improvements in this topic related to presentation and quality of food. The animation team is absolutely the best thing of this Hotel. They are funny, creative and always go the extra mile to keep you entertained. Property gives you a great vibe and the beach is pretty but definitely summer is the best time to enjoy it. I'll keep going back to my home away from home. Special thanks to Leo, Luis Enrique (bar), Ariel, Wagner (sports), Mar, Shelly, Iamdra and Sofia. See u soon!

First I want to say, everyone I spoke to was kind, attentive, and had a positive attitude. The only person that was rude was viva membership people that didn’t even acknowledge my wife. Other than that whatever they advised was badly executed or false. 1. The food was not good, the quality of the food in the buffet was very poor and honestly my wife only ate fruit the entire trip. The dining restaurants weren’t any better. 2. There is no hot water in the bathrooms max is room temperature and the water pressure is really low. 3. We paid for a bungalow because on their website it states there’s a private heated pool which was false we thought ours was broken and when we asked they said no pools are heated. 3. The floor around the pool are very beautiful but my wife and I were holding on to each other to not slip and fall. 4. Room service was so slow, one day we called for towels and to order food and no one answered the phone the entire day we called all throughout the day. I ended up going to the front desk and asking for towels and we got them several hours later. This is a place I wouldn’t recommend to friends and family.
