Location is excellent. Pool area very good but needs some atmosphere. Flat has not been updated since it was built. Kitchen falling apart. Cupboards etc dirty. Bathroom ancient but works. Having not stayed here for a number of years, I was so disappointed. The reception staff were very unfriendly on arrival. On getting to the room, I was opened the door to be met with the smell of sewage from the plug holes. Curtains were hanging off railings, furniture was very dated and uncomfortable. Overall the apartment was over rated and over priced. I stayed for 1 of the 7 nights and the following morning I booked into somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone wanting a comfortable clean apartment. Also the noise from locals living in the block was bad. Especially late at night.

We were travelling with another family (we had separate hotels) and they would not let us bring the other family up in the rooms. However, their service was good and they were happy to help. You have to wear these irratating waist bands, kind of like the ones you get when you go to a theme park.

My first stay at the Barbados Apartments
The Barbados is very well located near the Yumbo and transport links. The apartments are large, clean, 2 bedrooms and have a well equipped kitchen. There are safe deposit boxes available near reception. The staff were all very helpful.

Basic hotel with pleasant staff. Quick to act when light in bedroom blew. Surprised to see a microwave, coffee machine and toaster in room at no extra cost. Bed basic but hard. Hotel in middle of tourist area so quite noisy. Overall a pleasant stay but wouldn’t recommend if you want a quiet night.

This hotel was in a good location-close to bars and restaurants and within walking distance of the sand dunes and beach. The rooms were spacious and we found the facilities to be more than adequate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would return!

Barabados is a little shabby and tired, but conveniently located and cheap (but you have to pay extra for wifi and a safe which is in reception)
