What’s Up With The Bistro?!!
Courtyards are typically comfy and executed well and this place was no exception however I’m a bit baffled why no one was ever at the bistro when I went get a small bite for dinner at 7pm and was there to grab coffee on the morning at 6:30 and still it was closed. They also need to get rid of the old school toilets that roll round and round forever after flushing,..time to upgrade to ones that suck everything down in a powerful whoosh!

It will do but I would expect cleaner
Rooms are comfortable but not clean above eye level. Mirror in bathroom had a thick coat of dust. The bistro area is a great space but very dirty. The floors had food and crumbs under the furniture (3 days in a row) and the tables aren’t wiped down well.

Dog friendly not wallet friendly!
The room was very nice as was the property overall. Situated on a nice little park with a duck pond. Perfect for walking my dog. My only complaint is that while the website says it is pet friendly they do not indicate anywhere. What the fee for having a dog day is. And that it must be upon approval. When I arrived with my dog, I was told it was $150. I do expect to pay a fee for my dog, but I would like to see it upfront and included in my bill or at least clearly indicated as to what I will be paying. I don’t like surprises when traveling.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long visit to the hotel. All the reception staff were kind, helpful and a pleasure to engage with. Our room faced a charming duck pond and we liked using the hot tub at night. Its a pleasing setting close to some shops and the food on site was good.

There was mold all in the grout in the bath tub. Yucky The bathtub had no pressure of water and on the other side of the wall on the ground the carpet was soaked with a lot of water. They have slider doors into bathroom that you ca t close all the way.

PROS: Quick check-in, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Wonderful customer service from front desk agents, particularly from Joh. CONS: Blackout curtains did not meet at the middle, so light still came in. A/C unit was extremly loud when it kicked on, so I had to keep off at night. Overall, a great stay.

No room cleaning service
We were told on check in we would have maid service every other day. We never received maid service our entire 4 day stay. Our last full day at the hotel, I specifically asked the front desk to have the room cleaned before 2PM that afternoon when we left for breakfast. We were gone all day and returned at 3:30 to clean up for my 50th year high school reunion. On of the maid staff came to our room while we were getting ready. I asked her to come back in 1 hour. when we returned from the reunion activities, at 10PM, the room had not been cleaned. This entire experience was not acceptable. We will most likely never stay at a Marriott property again.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Courtyard By Marriott San Diego-Rancho Bernardo. We were welcomed by a friendly staff at Check-in, Our room was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the fact that a Starbucks was part of the Bistro Cafe near the lobby downstairs, so convenient and wonderful! Thank you!
