The Dana is a great hotel for anyone who likes to be away from the hustle of mission beach, but close enough to get the best of both worlds. Only a 5 minute drive to Mission and Pacific beaches. My teens and I enjoyed the facilities and vibe. Even though it’s an older hotel, the facilities are well kept and clean. The staff were wonderful and eager to help. The only downside was the food at the Firefly restaurant. The service was great, but the food wasn’t. Great drinks and specials every day, though. I would come back and would recommend it.

Great overall experience. We reserved a lanai room, but couldn’t sit outside and enjoy it because of all the A/C units blasting. In room A/C was also super loud. But at the same time thankful for the A/C because it was pretty hot during our stay. Service was exceptional from check in to maintenance to on site restaurant. Location was great if you are willing to drive. Pools were great. Love the movies in the evenings.

The resort is beautiful. The room was nice, had all the necessary amenities and the bed was super comfy. The people at the front desk were really nice and helpful. Overall I had a really nice stay and would be happy to return.

I did think it was pretty clean and neat, but you could tell it is not deep cleaned. And also building is really old, and had a bit of a smell. Like musty. The restroom shower curtains smelled like pee.

We were disappointed the room was just like a motel, but a lot more expensive. I guess the high price was because of the amenities which we did not use. I thought for the price, the room would nicer. The on-site restaurant was horribly understaffed and it took a very long time to be waited on. We were on the second floor and had to carry our luggage up and down stairs since there was no elevator. The pillows were too thick.

From the last time I stayed in the hotel I think hotel can renovation The sweepers clear for the price but the pay was nice. There is a lot of homeless people outside the property which is open but haven’t had any track or any issues. Hotel restaurant staff very helpful. I would reconsider paying a higher price for this place again unless it’s renovated and brought up to standard. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful location

I don’t recommend staying at the lanai side. Didn’t realize this hotel has two different sides . One a lot nicer than the other. My first room and section was small and “basic” very disappointing for the amount I paid. Plus they were friendly during check in . The second night I had different staff who finally greeted me and after telling her my concerns she upgraded me to the “other” side . Much nicer and more spacious. More what I’m used too.
