This is an amazing Villa located very convenient to Lucca, especially by train. The grounds are immaculate and include a pool, bathhouse, tended garden, and producing olive trees in the back. The front balcony offers a view of Pisa including the leaning tower. We were given the Music room, which is grand with high cooing and large balcony. Our only concern was the bathroom with the doorway being 6 foot tall and made of stone, and my 6 foot 5 inch tall head hitting it several times. Otherwise a fantastic visit.

Beautiful place to stay between Pisa and Lucca
Hotel was unique, set up on a hill with nice views of Pisa. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room spacious & comfortable. We were lucky with the weather so made use of the lovely pool, but soo many mosquitos, so be warned! Highly recommend staying here for the night if travelling between Pisa and Lucca but you do need a car really as Rigoli is an uninspiring village with only one restaurant which was shut the night we were there. The reason I'm not giving 5* is because the dinner option was very limited and just too expensive for what you get, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and relaxing

Gorgeous Tuscan villa style stay
Villa Alta is just amazing. We stayed 3 nights and it was magical each time to arrive back and drive up the long driveway. Beautiful grounds, very serene feeling & cute & relaxing swimming pool. Very friendly staff - thanks Rafaela & everyone - my daughter Anna and I had a wonderful stay.

Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. Our family enjoyed peace and quiet at the time of our stay. Food was great, too. We highly recommend this place.

The best view of Pisa
The place is great and the attention perfect. It's not a regular Hotel but a very nice and pleasant BB with a marvelous view. Come here to relax and enjoy the Toscana mood.

Strange Villa more suited for a museum
We found this property very hard to find at night and needs a proper sign outside like a few others we saw. It's set in a huge plot of land and you have to drive up some very tight gravel drives. It is an intriguingly set out Villa with beautiful grounds but gas no soul. The bedroom was huge but rather empty with very wonderful painted walls that left you wondering why you were sleeping in a museum or gallery. The bathroom was very odd and the breakfast was laughable if it was not for the nice coffee. Really a strange and rather clod experience that we will not repeat.

Tuscan villa on a hill, great views...
We stayed there for one night, while traveling through Toscana. The Villa is located on a hill, therefore the views are superb. The breakfast is served on the terrace, if the weather allows it, so you can enjoy the view while eating breakfast. Overall a nice option, but do not expect hotel amenities, since this is not your standard hotel.

This is a truly beautiful Tuscan residence
Situated 6km out of Pisa and 8km from Lucca and 1 hour from Florence its an ideal location to explore the area and feel in the middle of the Tuscan hillside. The villa is stunning, romantic and ideal for a wedding. The hosts are increbidally hospitable. They helped us when one of us fell ill. Would recommend a strong car to access the property. You feel completely relaxed after staying here !!
