It's very out of the way, a little hard to find, but beautiful. Not fancy, clean, rustic. Cute. Great breakfast. Only one restaurant close by, but they told us that the other restaurants deliver. There is a 'kitchenette' in the room, so you can bring some groceries if you like. Or reheat leftovers.

This was a great hotel! No AC but chilly enough that you didn’t need one. The pool was cold hit refreshing, the breakfast was amazing and the owner was so kind. This place is high in my recommendation list.

We arrived late and had to leave early so did not see much of the property. But location is remarkable, room was very clean (but basic - not a criticism just know). Breakfast was yummy (coffee, juice, fresh fruits, eggs, rice and beans and toast. Free and safe parking. Manager was very friendly. Highly recommend this 1h from SJO.

During our first trip to Costa Rica, we stayed at the stunning Hotel Mango Valley. Nestled in lush surroundings, the hotel offered not only breathtaking views but also invaluable local insights. The staff recommended incredible nearby attractions, including waterfalls, serene hot springs, and an engaging coffee tour, which were all standout experiences. While the hotel mostly impressed us, there were a few minor issues. The shower's water temperature fluctuated from very hot to cold, and running the toilet simultaneously further reduced the water pressure. Even if it wasn’t running, it was still similar to a beach shower. Despite this, it was manageable. We booked through Expedia, which meant our reservation did not include breakfast. However, we could purchase it at a reasonable price, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, Hotel Mango Valley is a gem of a place, perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica. We'd definitely recommend it for its beauty and the overall quality of the stay.

Loved the hotel once you get there but there is nothing really nearby so you definitely need a car. Uber is cheap about $3-$5 to get a ride one way to the nearest city for food

The manager was very friendly and informative. The rooms are rustic but very clean and neat. No AC during the day can be a bit warm but temperatures cool at night making sleeping very comfortable.

Love the seclusion with amazing views of mountains & Mynah birds singing in the morning. Gustavo was a great host, bringing us cold beers & ordering pizza for delivery, since we got in late. Delicious CR breakfast included. We could easily have stayed longer.

The property was very peaceful and tranquil. We did not like that pur front door opened to gravel. No immediate outsidecspace to enjoy the view. Sitting in a gravel parking lot was not to our liking. The pool was wonderful!

Our stay at mango valley was idyllic and peaceful. javier, the manager of the hotel, was kind and courteous. I loved our time here and wished we could have stayed longer. this was a great place for my husband and I to visit together.

The property is located in the middle of coffee plantations, which is really nice. Breakfast was ok but slightly expensive ($9 as of Aug 2022). The cabin has one main room (bedroom and kitchenette) equipped with basic kitchen appliances, the bathroom has a shower with hot water. **Expedia VIP Reward Perks are NOT honored in this property, so watch out for that**

The property is small and very beautiful. It is away from the city enough to escape the city noise and busy life. The staff was great and attentive. The rooms are cozy and provide a great viewing area of the surrounding land and mountains. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and secluded get away.
