Cute, clean, fun, and attentive property management
This is a really cute, authentic and funky apartment in a great location in Old San Juan. The property management team was super attentive and responsive, the apartment was clean and spacious for downtown. It was also incredibly quiet given the proximity to the bar scene on San SebastiƔn. Be aware that the hot water is solar, so clouds and rain and maybe insufficient capacity meant showers were mostly lukewarm. Oddly enough, the warmest shower is the tub shower in the middle of the courtyard area, so most of us showered in the middle of the courtyard in our bathing suits when we needed more reliably warm water. And if you haven't traveled to Puerto Rico and stayed in Old San Juan, know that traffic on the tiny streets is a NIGHTMARE, the parking garage nearby was always full and inaccessible (don't count on it!), renting a car is not a good idea, and getting Ubers to and from Old San Juan is also a challenge because drivers hate getting stuck in the traffic. And while there are restaurants and great food all over the place, they also get crowded in holiday weeks with travelers and cruise ship people. So make dinner reservations in advance! We made a few reservations, but we also spent much more time than we expected going from restaurant to restaurant trying to get in. To be clear, other than the hot water, these aren't apartment issues. Just things to factor in when planning a Puerto Rico and San Juan vacation.
