Casa Del Mar II has two swimming pools for their guests very close to the apartment. The apartment is fully air conditioned and ceiling fans in all living areas. short steps to beach from apt,. terrace and short walk to designated parking. Master bedroom has a King bed, AC, TV and DVD, ceiling fan and ensuite bath. Second bedroom has a bunk bed, full size bottom and twin size on top and an extra folding twin bed, also a TV and DVD. Attention to Detail

The property had many things others do not. Beach chairs, outside eating area, easy and very close beach access, two pools, a blender, a cooler, and other stuff, I canā€™t remember it all! We felt very safe, itā€™s Inside a gated security area. There arenā€™t a lot of people around, at least in January. We hope to return.

Great get-away

The beach is a perfect gem! We visited several beaches but always preferred to come back and spend more time on this quiet and clean beach. The waves were just enough for the kids to boogie board a little, but easy enough to just let them walk out and splash around. Some days we had the whole beach to ourselves! The condo was very nice, clean, and well-supplied. There are close food marts and restaurants, and it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go.

Loved it!

The location could not have been better. The beach was right there and it was gorgeous and practically private. Maria was so great at communication. The only thing I wanted that we didn't have was some dishwasher detergent :). I would totally stay here again. It was close to so many activities we did, Culebra, Las Playas, El yunque. Loved grilling on the patio for dinner every night. Everything was comfortable and clean. So family friendly. The complex and grounds we so well maintained. I loved that we could walk for a really long distance on the beach! It was perfect. highly recommend.

Great Place Stay! Even better than the photos.

My family lived the location and access to the beach. Great place for a family vacation, 30 minutes from Ceiba for a trip to Flamenco Beach on Culebra. 30 minutes to San Juan. Great place and perfect location.

The beach was wonderful ie, not crowded, relatively clean, warm water, very little sea weeds, area to wash off before returning to apartments, etc. The apartment was comfortable. Some exploring was required to locate restaurants and local cuisine.

Anniversary trip

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Maria was easy to get a hold of when I had questions. Pros: short walk to beach, beach is never crowded; loved walking the beach and finding sand dollars; patio with water hose to rinse off, beach chairs and towels provided, comfortable bed, washer and dryer. Cons: communication on first day with security at the gate was difficult due to language barrier but we finally got in and once you have your pass the process is not a problem; the master bath ( the only one we used) shower was very hard to regulate temperature and water pressure not the best; bathroom had pile of hair behind door and base of toilet dirty but overall the place was very well kept (Iā€™m just picky about bathrooms); water at the beach only 6inch visibility (cloudy from the sand being stirred up from the waves) there was a hurricane south of us so that could have been to blame. Overall I think we made a great decision in picking this place to stay. Very safe, quiet, and comfortable.

Very convenient!

This condo was very conveniently located to be able to do many outdoor activities, including the rainforest, bioluminescence kayaking, Vierjes, old San Juan and the forts. Whatā€™s especially nice is that you are steps away from a very beautiful beach that wasnā€™t at all crowded and was very clean. There were multiple very good restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive. The condo was fully stocked in the kitchen, as well as with beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and other beach toys. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. We appreciated her quickly, addressing a refrigerator problem by getting a new one the same day. We had a fabulous time in Puerto Rico, and a lot of it had to do with this great place that we stayed in.

Great location - Great owner

We really enjoyed staying there. The location is great, the apartment is 30 seconds away from the beach. It has everything you need on vacation. The owner is a very nice person, quick answer and always available. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at the condo! We loved the proximity to the beach! We went on morning and evening strolls every day. The condo was well-equipped and had everything we needed. We visited Luquillo Beach and El Yunque while there and it was super close to both. We noted that the condo is perfect for us to return to on another trip with our 5-year-old. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful beach and property!

The grounds are meticulously maintained, the unit is very close to the beach and is the most clean unit I have ever stayed in while using Vrbo and others. Felt like home from the moment I opened the door. Maria is a great host. Complex is quiet. Walks on beach for sand dollars were great! Thanks again Maria.

Great, communicative hostess, good condo, bad luck.

Nice condo complex next to the beach and near two swimming pools. Condo was as listed and Maria an excellent hostess who was very responsive to questions. Clear instructions and easy enough check-in process. Renovation upstairs for 2-3 days had us having to leave the condo for the day due to the noise - bad luck and something that can happen in condo complexes. Also hot water was an issue at the property - at least for the showers, hence cannot give 5 stars. Probably all down to circumstance, but these things did impact our enjoyment.

Peaceful and relaxing

What an amazing place to stay! The unit is beautifully kept and decorated. The beds were comfortable and clean. And the A/C worked like a charm. What more can you ask for??? Ohā€” itā€™s also steps away from a semi-private beach! In fact, there was one evening when we were nearly alone watching the sunset. Simply gorgeous! The water was warm and clear and the beach was clean. The beach towels provided arenā€™t those cheap and threadbare towels Iā€™ve gotten in other places, but full sized and fluffy. No need to pack any. There are also beach chairs provided. The community is gated and everyone was very friendly. There was a small hiccup on check-in but it was taken care of quickly. But, honestly, Iā€™ve never had a smooth check-in process using short term rentals so maybe itā€™s just my bad luck. Overall, it was a fantastic and peaceful visit and I look forward to going back someday!

Perfect getaway

This was a great location--quiet, beautiful, close to the beach. We would definitely come back. The apartment was very well equipped--kitchen was the best stocked of any rental we have stayed in. Maria was responsive to our queries, but honestly we had no troubles at all during our magnificent stay at her place.

First Time Puerto Rico Not The Last

My first attempt at getting a VRBO rental in Puerto Rico turned into a cluster of false claims and misleading pictures. So I was somewhat reluctant to try again and I am so glad that I did. This property was everything it was advertised for clean, great location on a beautiful beach steps away from the sand and the pool. Maria was very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. The condo was set up with everything we needed and we spent most of our time at the outdoor patio. She also had list of near by resturants and grocery stores which helped. The people in units next to us were very friendly. The only problems we had were directions, apparently Puerto Rico isn't real big on having posted street signs so finding locations proved to be tricky and you will need to drive very defensively. A local laughed and told us it easy to know who the tourists are since they are the only ones who use blinkers. We would stay here again.

We loved our time at Mariaā€™s home which was steps from the beach. The condo was well equipped with beach chairs, blenders, gas grill and everything youā€™d need in the kitchen to cook dinner. The detailed check in and out book made it easy to find what we needed including list of restaurants, grocery stores and tourist attractions. The neighbors we did encounter were so welcoming and helpful but didnā€™t invade your space. My parents loved their morning walks to search for sand dollars. Maria was available to answer any questions we had. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. Wyndham Resort and Casino was a 5 minute drive. We have never felt more safe at a rental or resort than we did at this gated community.

Relaxing spot

Apartment was steps away from the beach. Had wonderful updates and stuck with all cooking, silverware and glass ware. Also with all the beach gear you will need. The only problem we encounter was the water presure. It was fluctuating and the tankless water heater will not work if the two showers were in use at the same time. The apartment manager was always available and responded rigthaway. She provided her number to call if there was any issue. Thank you Maria our family truly enjoy there time there.

Spring Break Getaway

Wonderful vacation in Rio Grande. Maria's property is perfect with a location on the beach that could not be beat. When we arrived the power on the island had been out for several days and was slowly returning. Maria let us know before we left our home but we decided to take a chance that it would come back and I am glad we did. The power was back by 9:30 pm the night we arrived. We had a lovely time on a snorkeling trip to the island of Vieques which departed less than 30 minutes from the condo, a really fun trip to El Yunque where the tour met 5 minutes from the condo. We made a couple of trips to the grocery store for breakfast foods as we like to have breakfast in the condo before a day exploring. We were there over Good Friday and the resort transformed from a sleepy beach resort to a bustling retreat where everyone's family seemed to gather. The neighbors were super friendly and gave advice on what to see and do freely. I really enjoyed spending Good Friday on the beach feeling like a local and enjoyed the little pop-up restaurant that appeared on the beach that day. Highly recommend a stay at this property.

Wonderful vacation

Maria's condo is located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It is equipped with everything you could need for an extended stay, including lots of cooking utensils, emergency lanterns, extra batteries, comfortable beds and tons of big, fluffy bath and beach towels. I especially enjoyed swimming laps in the 18 yard pool. I usually had it all to myself. The beach, too, is never crowded, but the surf was mostly too rough to swim while we were there. Our only complaint is that the instructions regarding securing the condo on the last day were confusing. We'd encourage Maria to leave clearer directions. Otherwise, we highly recommend this rental.
