We loved the location of Trotamundos. The host was very responsive and clear with their check in/check out instructions. We recommend looking at the photos and reading the descriptions - as stated, the neighborhood is quite a happening scene until at least 1am. Ear plugs are available in the rooms and were much appreciated. Overall, great for our needs.

Love this place, is not the actual hotel room but works for what i need. Sleep, shower and comfy room. Small fridge, nice ambient music and air conditioner. No staff in property but the management make sure you receive all the instructions and equipment for your accommodation. Is very close the Sansebastian street and el Toten... A lot of dining and drink options around. Some reviews mentioned the noise, it was not my case but they provide earplugs in case you hear music noise. Love it... I will back today Sunday for 2 more days. Highly recommend

LOUD BAR DOWNSTAIRS, NO WINDOWS
We arrived late at night, exhausted, to find our room (#4) thumping with loud music from a bar directly below. We were also surprised that our room didn't have a window since the listing had shown some very nice views (but the room did have a funny smell and some mosquitoes). The manager and I texted and there were no other rooms available. She did offer to help us find another hotel, but at the late hour and since we had parked our car a 10-minute walk away, we decided to stay. Aside from the loud music and lack of a window, it was OK.

We loved staying in Old San Juan where itā€™s so convenient to walk and not have to find parking everyday, and this place made it easy. However itā€™s loud at night because of the nearby bars/clubs-however Trotomundos knows this and provides earplugs, which is somewhat helpful and definitely thoughtful! There were lots of items we could use in the hallway and we left some for others to use as wellā€¦things like toiletries, steamer, blow dryer, disposable containers, etc. The balcony is very nice and we loved using it. The place is super cutely decorated and has great vibes. Definitely recommend staying here!

This place is a dump. The room was literally the size of my walk-in closet at home. No windows. No one on the property. And they charged me for 2 nights when we only ended up staying one. Will never stay here again.

This provided a good, reasonably priced option for a last minute search in Old San Juan. The responsiveness and communication was excellent, including great suggestions for eating, and the location was very convenient. The reasons I am not giving it 5 stars are that I did not realize the room did not have a window (possibly in the listing that I missed and possibly helpful for noise, which was not an issue at all, given the location could be loud at busy times) and the bathroom was not ideal: suggesting not flushing toilet paper because of plumbing could cause odors and the overall layout of the bathroom was not very good (no great surfaces to put anything on,...)

It was very nice and super clean. Be mindful that it's very noisy at night due to the music, but I didn't mind it. They also provide ear plugs in case that's something that will keep you up at night.
