Great hotel
Most excellent stay. Enjoyed the pool, free parking and nice room layout. Afternoon appetizers were a great bonus, and the breakfast was simple but delicious. Very happy with our stay.

The beds were a bit hard and the front desk clerk was a bit unwelcoming and rude. Hot tub was enjoyable except that we kept getting soaked from a broken jet spraying us in the face.

Reception personnel at Brisas del Mar were welcoming. Good location within walking distance to the beach and not too far from the freeway. The continental breakfast had a good variety, especially bread and pastries. The suite we stayed in was large with a kitchenette. The building was on the older side, like many hotels in the area, but the room was clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly, even the cleaning crew smiles and greets you. Kudos to the administration because all the hotel personnel seemed to be happy to be working there.

Everything was great! We enjoyed the hot tub after a day’s hike. Breakfast was free but limited options (in particular lactos free). The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Staff were congenial and helpful. Room was simple but clean. I read reviews that mentioned the water had a peculiar scent. I think this was due to the amount of lime and calcium build-up in the pipes. CLR might address that. My only "complaint," if anything, would be that the gate around the swimming pool never worked for me, despite the staff giving me several new keys.
