Very good guesthouse with extraordinary hosts
Nice room with air conditioning. Nice living areas. Extraordinary hosts, who go the extra mile to help. Breakfast is extremely good. Parque Vidal is just a stone throw from the guest house.

I'm a Canadian who visited and stayed at Florencia in Santa Clara for 2 nights. I had the city view room, centrally located and only a 2 minute walk to the central Square. My room was clean, the bed super comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. For such an old building, it has been renovated very nicely, with some modern touches, while keeping true to its colonial character. The owners, Gloria and Gabrielle,her being Cuban and his being Italian, are super hosts. Gloria helped me out of a money bind when my visa and atm card didn't work. I had to get money wired from Canada through Western Union, but in Cuba, a non resident can't receive the funds, only a Cuban. She went with me 2 times to the Western Union place and waited with me to receive the money; the first time there was a problem with the transaction but the second time was a success. If it hadn't been for her, I wouldn't have had any money to drink or eat. I owe her immensely all my gratitude. As well, she is a wealth of information of Santa Clara and its history and she is happy to share it with you. As for Gabrielle, he does the cooking for the menu they offer. You'll have no reason to eat outside the hostal because the food is to die for. You can compare it to Micheline 5 star 3-5 course meals but without the expense; quite reasonably priced and you know it's prepared safely. Without a doubt, this was a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.

Gloria’s local knowledge of things to see and do in and around Santa Clara was excellent! Gloria’s husband is from Florence Italy. Meals were fantastic! Your own personal chef! WOW!

Wonderful. More like a boutique hotel
This place is an oasis like no mother I experienced in Cuba. It is not a hotel but is well above the usual hostal in Cuba. I would describe it more as a boutique hotel. The owners are wonderful with one an always smiling local and the other an excellent Italian chef. They make a great combination. The breakfast alone is worth the stay (amazing fruit platter and bread comes with four different home made jams as well as home made peanut butter!) but make sure you also have at least one lunch or dinner here too.

We booked here and paid in advance then had no luck getting a bus to Santa Clara due to Cuban busses being so overbooked. I tried to call and cancel for 2 days and the phone number never worked or there was no answer and no other way to reach the owners. Also, they do not provide refunds no matter what the reason, so beware that if your plans change, you are out the money.

Ich war ich das erste Mal dort. Und wie immer wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Die Gastgeber sind jederzeit ansprechbar, haben immer ein Lächeln für den Gast und sorgen dafür, dass man sich einfach nur sehr wohl fühlt. Für mich die top Übernachtung in Santa Clara. Das Frühstück und auch das abendliche Essen verdienen eigentlich einen Extra Stern. Hasta luego y gracias por todos

Preis/Leistung super! Sehr schöne Unterkunft und wunderbare Gastgeber! Santa Clara kann man gut zu Fuss erkunden. Ist alles in der Nähe. Es ist alles in gutem Zustand und sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war sehr lecker.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf bij deze Casa. De ligging is perfect tov het centrale plein en de accommodatie zelf is onberispelijk. We hebben nergens in Cuba zulke lekkere bedden gehad en de ruimte buiten de kamers om te relaxen is groot met veel verschillende stoelen. De kamer werd dagelijks schoongemaakt. Het ontbijt dat wij dagelijks voorgeschoteld kregen was meer dan we op konden en iedere dag zeer gevarieerd met fruit, brood, verschillende jam, omelet en iedere dag een andere typische Cubaanse lekkernij. Wat het verblijf echter helemaal afmaakte was de aanwezigheid van Mirella en Lydia. Deze dames zorgen voor een unieke sfeer en staan altijd klaar om te helpen. Wij raden deze Casa van harte aan.

Bestes Frühstück, das ich während meiner gesamten Kuba-Reise hatte. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Leider hatte ich während meiner Übernachtung etwas Pech, da nebenan eine laute Party in einer Bar die ganze Nacht andauerte.

Alojamiento con mucho encanto, en un edificio colonial de principios del siglo XX rehabilitado que conserva muchos elementos originales. Personal muy amable, permitieron que ocupásemos la habitación antes de la hora que figura en las normas. Muy buen aire acondicionado en la habitación, cama grande y muy confortable y muy buena ducha en el baño. Estupendo y abundante desayuno con productos caseros, servido en una terraza muy agradable. Totalmente recomendable.

Ein echtes Juwel unter den Privat-Unterkünften. Alles war tipptopp sauber, funktionierte und war wunderschön eingerichtet. Unbedingt empfehlenswert ist das Frühstück auf der Terrasse. So frisch, reichhaltig und lecker haben wir sonst nirgends gefrühstückt. Dazu liegt die Unterkunft fußläufig vom Busbahnhof und der Innenstadt entfernt. Das Beste aber waren die Menschen in der Casa, die uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen ablasen, super informierten und organisierten und mit uns lange, interessante Gespräche führten. Ich kann die Casa uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen!
