We were in a car accident and not less than an hour after booking room tried to cancel in all the chaos we were already involved in with the accident, we received no response, we were charged full price for the room. What a disappointment. What a terrible day.

My favorite Hotel in Santa Cruz!
The hotel staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect just a short walk to the warf and to the boardwalk. I definitely recommend staying here!!

Beautiful property and location can’t be beat. The rooms are beautiful. Make sure to read about property parking as I was unaware and drove around for a while looking for something. Additionally, there was construction going on on the hotel right next-door that started very early. A little note on the Pre-check in would’ve been wonderful, but overall beautiful hotel

So convenient for a short stay to enjoy the Beach Boardwalk! Hit the Santa Cruz/Felton train the next day. Cafe connected to the Hotel was great! Construction going on across the Street a little noisy & dusty during the day but we were out most of the time. Proximity to the Boardwalk, Pier & train cannot be beat!

Great place to stay
This hotel is fantastic. The location is perfect, right across from the arcade. The hotel had a very clean smell. The room was a great size and even had a balcony to enjoy some drinks on when the kids went to bed. The bed was super soft and comfortable. The only downside to the hotel is the parking. I get it. You're right next to the boardwalk, so you'll pay for parking either way, but $25 a night seems a little step to me. There are two lots, one to the side and one below, which are very tight, so if you have a bigger vehicle, good luck. Overall, I would give this place a 9/10. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Santa Cruz.

Overall this hotel is nice. It’s been renovated. DO NOT waste your money getting an “ocean view.” It’s a scam. There’s a building next door that’s been under construction for over a year now and that’s the view you’re going to get. It’s also very loud so hopefully you don’t plan on spending lots of time at the hotel. The parking is difficult. The man at the front desk gave my sister and I the creeps.

Beautiful new hotel 5 min walk from the beach and short walking distance from the boardwalk. One of the best hotels I stay in. The staff is very accommodating and kind. The only drawbacks are the loud construction noise next to the hotel and we were on the lower floor and can hear the top floor foot steps and people speaking. Overall, it was a great experience and I would stay at Marea Sol Hotel again.
