Custom built by and for the owners. This 1500 square foot, two bedroom, 1 bath house has much to offer the active beach lover in addition to the sun worshipping lounger.
Ideally located one block up from 26th Ave beach and conveniently centered in Santa Cruz from Capitola to downtown Santa Cruz and the World famous Beach Boardwalk. This sweet beach home beckons visitors to relax in a peaceful atmosphere. Fall asleep to the sounds of crashing waves and wake up to the scent of the ocean. Guests can walk or bike to many desired places around town and avoid the hassles of driving and parking. Guests love staying in our friendly neighborhood, walking, playing at the beach, watching surfers and abundant wildlife just off our shoreline.
This house is a breath of fresh air with an open floor plan, hardwood floors, fireplace centerpiece, vaulted ceilings, skylights, spacious kitchen and living area.
The gourmet kitchen is a food lovers delight, focused around a granite slab island for easy gathering and food prep. There is a double electric oven, 5 burner gas stove top, warming drawer, microwave oven, TVs throughout the house.
The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking essentials. There are fresh flowers and living plants throughout the house.
*Provision services or catering can be provided by request. For example, local farmers market produce and fresh local fish.
In addition to the comforts of this home, guests can enjoy the fireplace on cool Central Coast evenings as well as the deluxe Dimension One therapy hot tub and convenient outdoor shower after a surf session or beach run. The outdoor yards are wonderfully manicured and fully fenced. There is a Weber gas BBQ, patio furniture, umbrella, fire pit and hammock in the back yard. Washing machine and dryer in garage. Off street parking for several cars.
For the working vacation, wireless high speed internet is available throughout the house.
Active families will appreciate this house has available wetsuits, boogie boards, beach chairs, wagon, beach toys, Pack and Play, high chair lots of children's books and toys in garage as well as movies. The Live Oak library is a short walk away and is surrounded by Corcoran Lagoon which is home to Great White Herons and many other types of animals and birds.There is wood for beach bonfires and a small portable BB-Q.
There are so many great things to do in our neighborhood that it is possible to spend a week or longer and never have to drive anywhere.
During the Summer months and holiday breaks there is a five day minimum stay, unless there are small gaps between to be filled in for shorter visits.

Perfect Santa Cruz Getaway!
My son had his heart set on going to Santa Cruz to celebrate his 12th birthday. This home was absolutely the perfect place to do that! The house and the location were perfect. Just a short walk to the local beach, and the owners provided everything you could need for a fun day there: boogie boards, wetsuits, sand, toys, etc. The house itself was stocked with everything you might need as well. Owners communicated very well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A Touch of Zen
If I could dream of a home near the beach, this would check all the boxes. You are welcomed through the garden gate with a beautiful flowers and a garden filled with hummingbirds and butterflies. The home is warmly decorated in a beach theme and appointed with everything you need for your stay. Cathy thought of everything! There is a big updated kitchen, wood burning fire place and firepit on the patio. Bikes, wetsuits and board games in the garage. Each room had amazing plants or fresh flowers, that added a touch of zen. A short walk down the block and you are at the stairs to the beach, the first day we spotted whales, seals and an otter. A friendly neighborhood with an established quiet zone starting at 10 p.m. We were very relaxed and slept soundly during the quiet nights. Cathy provided helpful communications and updates as needed. The location is a short distance to the Boardwalk, Seabright, Twin Lakes, Pleasure Point and Capitola, where we attended the Arts & Wine Festival. We look forward to returning for another relaxing weekend or with our kids and grandkids to explore more!

We've stayed here I think 4 or 5 times in the last several years. Cathy and Andre are amazing hosts. Great communication. Never any issues. Perfect home away from home
From the moment you drive up you feel at home. It. Is so welcoming…,the white picket fence and the beautiful flowers. The home is equipped with everything you need and more. It is within walking distance of the 26th Ave beach. This is an especially special location as my husband lived on 26th Ave as a child. We enjoyed our week and plan to return!!! We enjoyed the couple nights we spent here. Home was clean and had all we needed for cooking meals. Home was very inviting and beautiful with all the flowers. Very well maintained. Cathy was very easy to work with and very responsive to everything. Felt a little overwhelmed initially reading all the rules (e.g. seemed to imply we had to have all dishes cleaned and put away before we left), but quick confirmation with Cathy reassured us we just needed to load the dishwasher. Proximity to Target and coffee shops was nice. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again!
