Staggeringly gorgeous views, very friendly staff and really pretty property. Clean hotel room and I'd stay again, however, I would stay in cooler weather. The hotel does not have air conditioning and our room was stifling hot since there was no breeze. Two fans were put in our room, which helped for sleeping, but still quite hot during the afternoons and while getting ready for dinner. Overall, enjoyed my stay, and loved the views.

The hotel is situated in the country, near tall trees and grape vines, convenient to hiking in that part of Madeira. The views were lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. For the 3 of us, the room was a bit crowded, but okay.

Outdated 4 star hotel but beautiful setting
Beautiful setting and nice rooms. Reception staff could be friendlier and more professional. For example, there is a difference between ā€œtake a seatā€ and ā€œplease have a seatā€ (during check in). Indoor pool is quite small. Outdoor was not working. Sauna is outdated and mouldy. Nice breakfast and breakfast staff.

Just what we needed
A very relaxing break in a superb location. Unfortunately there was a rather loud wedding party which made conversation in the dinning room difficult but it got quieter as the evening progressed.

Stunning views over Rocha do Navio and picturesque surrounding gardens and vines. Sleeping to the sound of the waves in our sea-view room. Generous breakfast buffet & restaurant with more wonderful views from the terrace. Clear efforts to make the hotel covid-safe throughout. Plenty of hikes in the surrounding area for the more active. Highly recommended.
