The lodging of the Commandery is located in the small hamlet of La Canéda (former commandery of the Templars). It is an independent house of 110 m2 for 2 to 4/6 people with terrace, courtyard and garden of 750 m2.
Attached to a 12th century church classified as a historic monument and which is hardly used any more, this atypical very old house is steeped in history: it sheltered templars, became presbytery then simple house of residence. Its very careful renovation harmoniously combines old and modern spirit.
On the ground floor, the house consists of a fully equipped kitchen open to the dining room with access to the garden where you will find a vegetable patch with aromatic herbs (thyme, parsley, mint, chives, rosemary ... ) and a living room with a small cave equipped with cushions.
A stone and wood staircase will lead you to the large mezzanine on the first floor including a sofa bed (sleeping 140x200) and cozy little corners. It gives access to a large bedroom with a 160x200 bed and a fireplace. The bathroom with Italian shower is located on this floor and opens onto a small terrace facing south.
A beautiful iron and wood staircase will lead you to a smaller mezzanine. It is a pleasant reading area with a library available as well as board games. It opens onto the second bedroom equipped with a 180x200 bed that can be transformed into 2 90x200 beds.
Both bedrooms are air conditioned and the bedding is new and comfortable. Sheets, towels and kitchen are provided. Beds are made upon arrival.
The two mezzanines overlook the common wall of the church. The old door giving access to the church, the sundial on the bathroom wall, the small cave in the living room will invite you to go back in time.
The house has an independent stone utility room with direct access to the garden. It includes a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a clothes horse, a WC and a sink.
