I recently spent five nights at the James hotel. I found the staff at the front desk less than helpful or nice. The parking situation specifically was very bad and the first night I had to park on the street, Another day. I came back from a very long day and there was a piece of equipment blocking the parking lot entrance. I believe they were washing windows. I parked on the street as I did the day I checked in and I received a parking ticket. The hotel did not seem to care about this and that I was not able to get into the parking lot because it was blocked by a crane. The best part of the stay was the staff who worked in the breakfast area. They were very kind, helpful, and caring. Also, when I checked in the luggage rack completely fell apart when I put my luggage on it, and nails went flying everywhere. Next time I’ll stay somewhere else.
