The high star rating of this hotel is likely due to its location. The room itself was dark and very small, with the odd choice of black walls in areas where you’d make a drink or use the safe. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a long list of rules about what you must not do – yet trying to get a clean cup, coffee pods, sugar, and milk was a challenge in itself.
To add to the disappointment, we were informed upon check-in that the restaurant and bar were closed on Sundays and Mondays. When we tried to order a drink at the bar, the staff seemed clueless, unable to make even the simplest of cocktails. After that, we never bothered to return to the bar or try the restaurant.
This hotel really needs to take a fresh look at things from a customer’s perspective, as it feels like improvements have been neglected for quite some time. Was I impressed? Not at all. The location is great, but there are plenty of other hotels in the same area. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending it.
