Two-Level Cottage w/ Private Veranda, Pet Friendly, Parking by Lucky Savannah

Located just East of the famous Fountain at Forsyth Park, Mandy's Veranda is the charming Southern cottage you've been looking for!

Look for the white picket fence and colorful trim to know you've arrived. This friendly 1800s cottage has been updated to suit the needs of the modern traveler while still harkening back to old Southern charm. Put down your bags and kick your feet up inside the formal living room facing the front of the home. Adjacent, you'll find the open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.

Toward the back of the house is a casual living space and flat-screen TV. A washer and dryer are ideal for extended stays, and a full bath is conveniently located for sleeping sofa guests. From this room, there is access to the deck with rocking chairs and a courtyard with a large seating area—the perfect spot for spending an evening sipping wine and recounting the day with loved ones.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and two full baths. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and en suite bath. Across the hall, through the game parlor and writing room, is the second bedroom with a queen-size bed and a third with a Twin and Trundle. A full bath with tub/shower combo has Jack-and-Jill doors to accommodate both bedrooms.

The homes age is definitely evident, especially in the upstairs floors, but to me that was part of the charm. It had plenty of room for our family members who were staying in another home close by to gather and hangout. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!! Oh, and the beds were VERY comfortable!! Slept great!!

We never received any emails with our door codes. Was on the phone the night before for at least 45 minutes trying to get a key code to get in, finally got the information then was able send to my daughter and son, they were coming from different areas. Once we've got there the door code didn't work, I had to call Lucky Savannah back and finally got the correct code. The house was not cleaned has expected. The floors needed swept as you can see hair and dust I had to clean because I had my granddaughters with me. I have short hair and in the master bathroom had long hair on the floor. When we took the sheets and pillowcases off the beds, the pillows were yellow. 😡 The kitchen was not stocked, outdoor furniture was not wiped down such as the table. Some kind of construction was being done so there was long boards on the front porch which they did move as I complained because of my Granddaughters could possibly get hurt. Location was great within walking distance from the areas we wanted to go to. Overall, the house was cute. I highly recommend a deep clean especially in the bathrooms and kitchen. The walls going up the stairwell should be wiped down as well. Pretty nasty.

We loved our girls trip to Savannah. The house was exactly as the pictures showed. It was very clean, in a great location and charming. We loved sitting out back at night. It was so quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this house for a comfortable, fun visit. One note…lots of stairs so would not recommend for elderly.

Spring Break in Savannah
The house was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable and clean. An older home with older home charm. The property managers were very concerned with who was staying in the house and how old we all were. I think I told them 3 times, which was a little irritating. When we got there I immediately understood why. We were walking distance to all of part town Savannah. Spring Break in Savannah is just that, Party town. I was traveling with my mother (71), sister and daughter (13), so party town wasn't what we were after. Each night we were there we heard people on the streets and in adjacent yards, well after 3am. I imagine it's not like that year round. I had not read a review mentioning that at all, so I thought I would comment. It has nothing at all to do with the property or the property managers, they were great! Maybe just pay attention what is going on in Savannah before you book this or any other property in the area. Had I been with my girl friends, it would have been perfect!

This property had lots of space for the 5 of us! We loved the patio in back and being able to walk to so many parks close by. Never had an issue with parking. Customer service was prompt and courteous with an issue and resolved quickly. My 85 year old mother was comfortable downstairs with her own full bath, but it is not handicap accessible and you have to be able to handle some stairs at entry.. enjoyed our stay there very much!

The property was a few blocks from downtown and so convenient. We enjoyed the separate sitting areas. The balcony off the back was adorable. The only small downside was the lack of complete privacy for the master bath. The door would not lock and the covering was almost shear. Otherwise everything was great.

Great place and great location. Previous reviews are correct in that there are no standard kitchen cooking items, but otherwise well stocked. Comfortable beds and very clean. Some sort of gnat or biting flea at night on the back porch, but just cover your legs and no problem. Hands down I would rent this house again. It's so beautiful.

This was the perfect place for our group! We had 5 adults and a small dog. It was close to a dog park that we visited daily, close to a square when we didn’t want to go to the dog park, and a short ride to river street and surrounding attractions. The parking was on street and there was street sweeping 2 days out of the week which a friendly neighbor explained to us as the signs were just a tad confusing. The house is just a few blocks away from our favorite breakfast joint, Clary’s Cafe, which we went every single morning. The rooms were a decent size, house was clean, and we spent so much time in the living rooms and the porch just chatting. It was a perfectly relaxing location and we HIGHLY recommend!
