Stayed here before rooms are comfortable and bed is enormous. A fair amount of traffic noise from the A46 at night and it was slightly irritating that the broken bathroom door lock was not fixed after we reported it. Will stay again if available.

A superb stay at Damons
This hotel never disappoints, Supas usual the room and the overall service were top class. The friendly staff go out of their way to make a memorable stay. John and Loraine the owners make you feel special and all in all my Wife and I cannot wait to return. Add to that the superb food in the restaurant and you could not ask for more. 5 stars.

Staff were friendly, the room was clean and the bed enormous! ( super king size?) The negatives were that, it waz a warm night so we had the window open and with tge hotel being on a busy dual carriageway there was a lot of traffic noise. The shower wasn't very powerful. The supply of tea and coffee in the room was poor ( one PG tips teabag) - we could have picked up more from reception presumably, but would have expected 2 teabags minimum! Power sockets on the desk weren't fit for purpose- too close to the desk to plug anything in. Damons restaurant next door was expensive and the food indifferent. We had breakfast elsewhere.

Smelly room!
We were looking forward to staying here as the reviews looked good, on arrival everything was fine however we noticed an awful smell between the beds, i mentioned it at reception and the said they would look into it, Day 2 the smell was still there and they offered to move us but only had a double bed as this was a trip with my son we were not keen on that, we were told it would be clean, day 3 the smell was worse as it was a hot day, it was so bad I couldnā€™t stay there and slept elsewhere, I found out someone was sick in the room yet they still decided to book it out to us, very disappointed tbh! After complaining I was offered 25% off a future stay, I explained that was no good as I donā€™t intend to stay again and that is it, hotel now gone quiet, tough!
