This guesthouse enjoys a quiet but central location and offers two holiday apartments, as an ideal starting point for countless walks and mountain tours in the region. It is situated in a tranquil locality between Berchtesgaden and the lake Königssee, affording a breathtaking all-round view of the Berchtesgaden mountain panorama, which will delight nature lovers and leisurely holiday-makers. Shops, restaurants, hiking paths and many places of interest are within walking distance.
The surrounding mountain panorama can be admired from the terrace or the balcony, as well as from the 2km² park-like site. The fabulous backdrop is ideal for relaxing, enjoying sunsets in the mountains or surrounding yourself with your loved ones for a sociable grill evening. A grill is of course provided. There are outdoor parking spaces on site, as well as under a carport (subject to availability) right by the house.
The ground floor of the guesthouse houses the very comfortable and spacious 230m² holiday apartment for up to six people. The first floor houses the 60m² apartment for up to four guests. Both apartments have been extensively renovated in recent years and exude a cosy and appealing atmosphere, owing to the combination of traditional furnishing in a classy rustic style and modern elements for contemporary comfort.
The major places of interest, the outdoor pool, the Watzmanntherme thermal baths, the Berchtesgaden salt mine, the Jenner skiing and mountain area and of course the beautiful Königsee are within 10-15 minutes by bus, car or on foot. The local bus in the region can be used free of charge by gests, with a bus stop 150 metres from the house. Shops, restaurants, hiking trails and the major places of interest are largely within walking distance.
Two of the bedrooms and the arolla pine room have a shared sunny terrace that can be accessed from each of the rooms.
The very comfortable and spacious 230m² apartment with its rooms full of character will take you back to the time of emperors and princes and let you experience some of the life of the Berchtesgaden country gentry. The interior comprises three large bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a separate WC, a living and dining room and an arolla pine parlour. The three bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed (180 x 200cm) with two individual mattresses. The centrepiece of the apartment is the living room, with luxurious dimensions of 90m² and with a ceiling height of over 4 metres, exuding the character of the country nobility with its high-quality furnishing, oak coffered ceiling, large windows and large dining table in the middle of the room. The beautiful, cosy arolla pine parlour with artistic wooden paneling invites you to sit and relax. This former library is the perfect retreat for guests to relax after a strenuous mountain hike in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The separate kitchen enables convenient self-catering with a dishwasher, a stove with a ceramic hob and oven, a fridge and freezer compartment and the usual small electrical appliances such as a coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. The daylight bathroom has a shower cubicle and a bath, a WC and a washbasin. Free wireless Internet access, bed linen and towels are provided.
If there are more than 6 guests, the owners can book the upper floor for you in addition, where there are a cosy 6-bed room with three double beds, a lounge, a bathroom with a shower/WC and a little kitchen.
