NEW Blue Cat Lakehouse with gorgeous lake views

A newly constructed lakehouse provides an ideal space for family getaways, girls' trips, or a relaxing couples' weekend. Every detail was planned to create an inviting and fantastic lake retreat. We are conveniently located less than 2 miles from the Bailey's Point boat ramp, 10 minutes from the State Park boat ramp, and 30 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park.

Enjoy a lake view from any bedroom you choose, or hang out on the screened-in porch on the bed swing; there are no bad views here! We also took great care in making the main level friendly for our guests with mobility issues. This includes no stairs, a walk-in shower in the master bath, and wide doors. However, we still believe a getaway should include some luxury as well! Incredibly soft king-sized beds, a rain head shower, and adorable coastal decor are just a few things awaiting our guests.

The kitchen is ready for creating memories with home-cooked meals, or recommendations for local eats if cooking is not in the plan.

We really enjoyed the adorable and well thought out house! The host has made this house so very warm and welcoming! The floor plan is great and the beds were very comfortable. The porch swing overlooking tje lake was the icing on The cake! We will defimitely be back!

Blue Cat was a great place and my friends and I had such a great time staying at this property. The views of the water on the back porch were amazing. This rental was beautiful and very clean. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to stay at Barren Lake.

Gorgeous patio!
My family of 4 adults spent most of our time on the gorgeous screened in patio with swinging bed. We cooked meals in the nicely stocked modern kitchen and ate outside. Nice location for days trips to several places we were interested in: bourbon tour, cave tour & Corvette museum. Wheelchair accessible lodging is hard to find & Blue Cat Lakehouse was perfect for us.

Spring break getaway
Our family stayed at the Blue Cat while visiting Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum. The setting in the countryside was peaceful with a nice view of the lake! The house was laid out well for our group of six. Beds are comfortable and the master bath was super nice. The screened porch is awesome with the big swing. The house is clean and cheerful. Highly recommend!

The cutest cabin!
This cabin is absolutely adorable! The kitchen is a dream. It was super clean and well maintained. The beds were soft and the kids on our trip appreciated the bunks. We all loved the screened in deck and the swing bed is amazing. If you’re looking for something a step above the rest, this is it! The host communicated with us well and was very helpful.

Cabin was very clean and really enjoyed the back screened in area with dining area and swinging bed/ couch. Really had a large time kicking back listening to the boat traffic and visiting with friends and having some great meals. Would highly recommend to everyone wanting a relaxing time at Barren River!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Blue Cat. We enjoyed relaxation at its finest, from swinging on the porch with morning coffee listening to the birds sing, to magnificent evening dinner sunsets. We cannot say enough about how beautiful, clean, and comfortable the Blue Cat is. Kitchen is well equipped, we cooked most of our stay and felt we had everything we needed. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the basement area and we had many nights of ping pong tournaments. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the surrounding area. Our family spent afternoons fishing at the community dock and enjoying the refreshing water in the cove. Our hosts were extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting this area!

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. It was clean and so beautifully maintained. Enjoyed the screened in porch the most. Was one of the few places we could find with room to park our pontoon. The host reponded quickly when we could not get the door unlocked. There was plenty of room for 2 couples and 3 kids. We will definitely be back

A comfort stay
10 of us stayed at this location. Was very clean and comfort of staying there. We were there for a business trip. When the wind picked up and was dropping trees all around the area. The power went off for a few hours, but was back up. We all felt very safe waiting out the storm. Barren River lake Lodge was out of power for the 3 day. That was where our meeting was to be held so we felt blessed staying at this cozy home. Looking forward to staying there again next year.

Christmas Getaway
We were looking for a place to enjoy a few days vacation between Christmas and New Years. Our original rental was all booked, but then cancelled at the last minute due to water damage. I found the Blue Cat was available and boy did it work perfect for us. The ease of booking, communication with the owner, the layout of the home, the view, the cleanliness of the entire place, every detail was as we needed. It was quiet, off the beaten path, but still close enough to the caves and other activities we wanted. I strongly recommend this home to any family looking for a clean, comfortable Barren River vacation rental.
