They don't clean your room or make your bed. I am not asking for new sheets every day but when I am on vacation and am paying for a 4 star hotel I expected my bed made and the garbage removed each day. The other complaints of sana not working and the construction causing us to walk miles to enter our hotel could have been over looked if thier services had been better. At check out the attendant was rude. This is the very first time I have ever complained about a hotel.

Very good locations, almost waterfront, hundreds dining options. YPu can enjoy VERY LONG boardwalk. Hotel need update and upgrade, rooms are outdated, not very clean, but location is convenient. We stayed there because hotel is dog friendly and we traveled with two dogs. Overall good hotel

The hotel was what we expected. The only problem was construction at front of the hotel which made it hard to drop off my 97 old mother in law . We had to park further away which required a long walk for an older person . Otherwise the hotel was good !

This hotel was not what I had expected… was very grateful to have a place to lay my head, but the wall paper was peeling off the walls, the toilet made funny noise, there’s no AC in the bedrooms, the pool looked very dirty, a lot of broken equipment in the fitness center, the sheets felt like paper, there was not a single garbage bag in any of the garbage cans when we arrived, and it’s fairly expensive for not having on site parking or breakfast included. The employees never once told me the price of anything when they were using my credit card, I had to ask them for it. There was employees smoking pretty well right out front of the entrance (which I mean fine but maybe move a little farther from the building?) it just overall was not what I had expected and it feels very expensive for what we actually received :/ not a great experience unfortunately, the only good thing is the location it was easy walking really but that’s about all this hotel had to offer.

The location of this hotel is amazing fur exploring Halifax- up to the Citadel, down to the waterfront - just perfect. However, the hotel must have undergone renovations on some floors and not others. We were on floor 1, with other families. The air conditioning condensed into the room and dripped on the carpet and had a nasty smell. There was mouldy food under the bed from a former guest.

There was nothing great to share about our stay, it started with a late check in as the room wasn’t ready and then I was lied to from the manager (as we were supposed to get an upgrade for the inconvenience) then the staff tried to gaslight me about the size of the beds, I will never stay at this hotel again, I spent the first two nights of my stay with only a sheet as they were “out” of blankets, (on the couch might I add) since they didn’t make up the pull out couch bed, the room is insanely out dated (zero lighting and three tv channels, stained carpet and a window that wouldn’t close) house keeping only comes once every 3 days and even then they didn’t restock coffee or toilet paper. There are 4 guests and they only give you 3 towels … which means you have to continually ask for the extra one or track down the house keeping cart. Parking is a nightmare and there’s an extra charge to guest for that.

The hotel stay was fine. But the hotel was very shifty about how the parking was at the hotel. There was a lot of construction in progress around the hotel, and it turns out you have to park your car a couple blocks away (and it's ~$30 per day). We had a lot of luggage and it was a pain getting everything back and forth from the car. It would have been fine if they had been upfront about it, but they only informed us about the parking situation less than a day before scheduled arrival (so we could only cancel if we paid some hefty cancellation fees). We were there for 5 days so it was quite an issue. Again, telling us beforehand would have been the right thing to do (and no, the construction did not start the day we arrived, it had been in progress for a while :-) )

The staff here are great and were quick to upgrade me to the presidential suite to ensure I had a place to stay. The suite was very clean and tidy. I would say it could use some upgrades to some of the old countertops but overall its a great place with an excellent staff.
