The parking was the only issue, but that can not be changed. The mouse issue although a problem in all of down town needs more attention. Over all enjoyed our stay room was more than fine (no mice in room), staff were great. Would return upon our next visit to Halifax.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very well situated in proximity to the waterfront area. Very walkable. Very comfortable bed and clean room/bathroom. Couldn’t control the temperature in our room so were unfortunately very hot for our whole stay.

We loved the convenience of the parkade and not having to cross any major roadways. The rooms were a bit dated, but clean and did the trick! Overall an excellent stay! Fair prices.

Check in process after dark means waiting outside trying to get the desk staff’s attention. Parking is extremely inconvenient and the instructions are as convoluted as the path back to the building and lobby. Unless you know the property I can not recommend this hotel.

Duvet was DIRTY. Nasty stains from previous guest. (I have pics) I thought these were cleaned each day. NO, not according to front desk, only cleaned if they are dirty. I shared pics and she said oh that IS bad and she comp'd my parking?? Electrical outlet(?) Long white bar under bed was turned off. Followed the lamp wire to find it to turn on lamp and charged phone. Charged my phone for 30 min. It was a burning hot charge block when I removed it. Appeared ery Unsafe!! Older style bed frame sticks out well beyond mattress frame! OUCH! Stubbed toes!!! No safe/security box in the room. No plastic laundry bags Not even a bottle of 'guest' water. Website says free wifi, breakfast included. Fine print says Breakfast for 'silver' guests 'Join free' (no thanks) Very disappointing! Never staying at The Barrington again!!! Never!!!

The property was old and outdated. Our heat/air unit was broken. Our bed frame was also broken. The room was very dusty and had a broken fridge in the room aswell and the one that worked but was loud. The staff were great and the restaurant was very good. Very good location and can walk to many stores and the Scotia Bank Center.
