The hallways and stair wells had a very bad odor. It was difficult to walk in those areas. The room itself did not have an odor. Very small parking lot but right on the river and that was beautiful.

Main areas of hotel - lobby and hallways - have a stink to them. The actual hotel room I was assigned did not smell and was clean. Hotel is quite dated, some updates have been done, but it is tired.

Nice clean, quiet room with great breakfasts.
We arrived at the hotel about 5 hours later than expected to a horrible storm all the way from Fargo to Sioux Falls. Check in was fine, except there was no parking available in the hotel parking lot. I was directed to a 'remote' parking lot behind the regular one. It turned out to be very close but the directions to it were very confusing...or we were exhausted. The room was very nice and very comfortable. It overlooked the front parking lot and the street but it was very quiet in spite of that. The only problem with the room was a stuck bathroom door. It couldn't be latched but it did close. It was a loud noise when opening. The frontdesk said they'd get it fixed. The breakfast was great with the best waffles ever.

I had a nice stay. The Country Inn & Suites is an excellent place for travelers to book for rooms. The location of the hotel being within downtown Sioux Falls makes for a nice walk around block where you can go to nice places to dine, shop, and socialize.

Both front desk staff that we encountered seemed annoyed to check in and check out. The entire hotel had a horrible smell. Not very clean. There was garbage on the floor under the beds. The tv kept switching from the hdmi2 that ran the cable to no signal. The only reason I gave another star was owed to the lady serving breakfast. The breakfast area was very clean and well stocked and the woman running breakfast was a gem. We paid alot for this hotel and it was absolutely not worth it.
