Our host, Carolin, was very welcoming, informative, and accommodating. We found that the home was clean, has a well equipped kitchen with complementary snacks, five private bedrooms with additional sleeping space in common areas, and a large number of bathrooms, (4.5). There is a large collection of books, many games for all ages and even a play nook. Even though we couldn’t completely enjoy it, (rainy weather), there is a nice outdoor garden / patio area. Off street parking is offered. We appreciated the three large common areas, living room, family room, and dining room). The dining room has a huge table where we all gathered for some meals and to play games. Caroline even provided a vintage high chair for our grandson!
The home is situated in a nice neighborhood with a small grocery store / deli, an Italian bakery, and a restaurant within walking distance. We enjoyed them all!
The waterfront and ferry are just a short walk away, (three or four blocks). For midwesterners who are usually surrounded by land—not water, it was interesting and fun.
The hosts have done a wonderful job of making this home a place for families to gather. They have incorporated a bit of whimsy and a lot of comfort into each room. We had a great time!
