This hotel is old and run down. They say they are one of the last independent hotels in Seattle - if thatā€™s the case, bring on the chain hotels. I was really disappointed. I was changed rooms after my first night because of multiple issues. There were multiple long black hairs on the bathroom floor. A light bubble and socket was hanging from a light, leading me to cut my finger when I tried turning it on (and not one staff seemed to care about that. Didnā€™t even ask me which lamp or if I needed anything). The shower faucet was broken and impossible to work. The gymā€™s scale was broken, and there was no water in the water cooler. The second room I was moved to was a bit better, but equally dated and old looking. The restaurant on-site was closed one morning because of mechanical issues in the kitchen, the elevators are extremely slow. With all the hotels in the area, I would recommend choosing another one. The price was not great enough to justify these issues, stay away. The only positive I have to offer is that the hotel is very central downtown and makes it easy to see the main sights within walking distance.

This was my 2nd stay at The Mayflower. I love the location, walking distance to several places, including Pike Place. The hotel itself maintains an old school charm. Doesn't look like lots of modern decor upgrades, but well maintained (almost) original decor. Love it!
